- Cons
- Fuel economy poor, 16 MPG, no where near what I expected

Love the vehicle, enjoyed teaching my daughter to drive in it. Fuel economy and small gas tank a disapointment.

I bought this car new in 2007. I got all the extras and upgrades, which I'm happy with. But, in three years since I've had this car I am continually having to get things fixed. The rear brake lights must have a short or something because I have to replace the bulbs every 6 months or so. Two years after purchase, and about 1,000 miles out of warranty, the air conditioning went out...needed a new compressor. The rails on the roof are loose and cracked from the wind catching underneath them. The rubber around the windows is loose both power jacks went out the rear window came off it's track and last week the 7 year battery with a three year warranty, died - three years 5 months. I just got home tonight and went to open the door and the inside drivers side door handle just broke! This car is made of plastic, I will never buy Dodge again....read morehide

- Pros
- Looks good....thats about it
- Cons
- Its a Chrysler, gas mileage, its a LEMON
Purchased As New
I have filed a lemon law claim against Chrysler for our 2010 Nitro.....Had a water leak inside the truck that they fixed, now the truck smells like mold and mildew all the time...Dont bother wasting your time and money on this POS. Chryslers is bottom of the barrel for a reason, and this is just further proof. Absolute junk....read morehide

- Pros
- It's a truck, not a cross over. Great looks. Capable off road.
- Cons
- Gas milage, interior, and it's a Chrysler
Purchased As New
This isn't the SUV for everyone. But for me, it was the right choice. First off, these can be had very cheap. I walked out the door for $20,000 even including tax and title. Second, it's a real truck, so I can do light duty on the trails in Northern Arizona. Then again, it does have 20? rims, which looks great, but really reduces the off road capability. Still, when you drive on the smooth roads of Phoenix, having that rim really helps plant the car. Previously, I?ve had plenty of sports cars that were far rougher than this, but I can see others looking for more refinement. The size was the biggest draw for me. My wife had a RAV4 when we met, and it was far too small. We looked at the Escape and thought the same thing. The full size SUVs were far too large for us as well. This was the only domestic branded SUV that fit the size we wanted. Performance is adequate for me. I traded in a Cadillac CTS, and it?s slightly below that. Again, it?s not a speed demon like the rides I had when I was younger, but it gets the job I want done. About the only concern I have is the reliability. That seems to be a tossup when you buy a Chrysler....read morehide

- Pros
- Very nice lines, roomy inside, powerful engine!! Most reliable car I have ever owned!
- Cons
- Could be a little smoother ride, but still has a nice feel with power.
Purchased As New
Very dependable, not one problem since I got it. Big head turner with people still asking where did I get it! I had the navigation and DVD player added for additional pleasures.I can depend on this car to start and get me where I need to be.... I personally think it is good on gas.

- poor gas economy

First time Dodge owner. I've had it since April and can't say enough good things about it. Have taken several trips and on highway speeds of 80 it performs better than any cadillac I've ever owned. Gas milage is poor, but that is not an issue. I couldn't be happier!

Bought this car brand new and have truly enjoyed driving it. It's the perfect suv for a single soldier like myself. Space when I need it and I never worry about what i can bring with me on my travels. Plus a look of aggressive style and dependability.
