Purchased As New
I bought this vehicle for my wife to replace her 2001 Pontiac Aztek...at first she wanted a GMC Terrain but they wanted too much and they were not cutting a good enough deal so we mosey over to the Dodge dealer to see what they had. We test drove a Nitro R/T and decided to buy it. It's loaded with heated leather seats...20' aluminum painted wheels...Redline 2-Coat Pearl paint...power sunroof. The ride is comfortable for a truck build and absorbs bumps well...it has a 4.0 engine, hit the gas and it will scoot. Now for all the people complaining about the poor gas mileage...you didn't read the EPA estimate on the window or you didn't do your homework to find out this Dodge is on a Jeep Liberty platform but it sits lower, it's longer and wider than the Liberty plus it's a 4X4 hence the thing is thirsty. The seats are comfortable but it has that Jeep quirkiness....not enough plugs to access for my kids electronic games but we worked around that. Yes the plastic interior is thin and cheap but I put Armor All on it soon as I bought it and it has a nice sheen to it. The Infinity sound system is real nice. The deal was quite nice...$3000 dealer cash off the price plus I had a Employee discount for another $2800....plus 0% for 72 months. I bought GM my whole life but Chrysler has come up. I bought a Jeep Wrangler Sahara (4 door) in Nov. 2008 and never had a problem with it....like the Sahara the Nitro was built in Toledo, Ohio which is a big plus. I can't advise you to buy one because they aren't made anymore but we love this one....there might be still a few new ones out there...we bought this one the last day of February...leap year of all things.
