- Easy to get around town with
- Brake system is deplorable, no brake life, expesive.
The brakes on these vehicles is extremely poor, every time you need a brake job, 30,000 miles, you will also need 4 expensive rotors, there is 6 different brake shoes for these vans and the vin does not say what shoes it takes, also the transmission needs 1 more gear for driving on the interstate. The quality of design has been made to take all of your money to keep it running. At 30,000 my turbocharger also went bad. That is way to soon for a good quality turbo. (must be poor quality from the factory) The average Dodge dealer cannot work on these vans and if you have a Dodge the Freightliner people will not work on it for Warranty. (Another rip off) They leave you in bad situations. They need to lower the price or improve on quality. I am going to sell mine and get something reliable....read morehide

- Graet fuel economy 24-28 mpg. Lots of interier room. Very good wheelchair van platform.
- Bad rust below rearwindows, below door rail and mud flaps rubbed paint off and caused rust.
Cheaper buy and run for a wheelchair van than either a lowered floor and raised roof minivan or fullsized raised roof van. Sprinter only needs a lift installed. Easy to remove front seat so that I can roll in and lock down beside my driver. Removing 1 3 person seat for wheelchair access still leaves me a 7 passenger van.My only complaint as about the rust. All cars and pickups all go 10+ years without rust nowdays. Why shouldn't a sprinter' otherwise I love this van....read morehide

- Great fuel economy, good acceleration, attractive exterior, practical interior
- very tippy, large blindspots, rough ride
I drive a 2005 Sprinter for work about 750 miles a week. I get great gas mileage about 27 MPG. I can go about 650 miles on a tank of gas. The ride is pretty bumpy and on the freeway its pretty loud but I would guess that to be average on a cargo van. Sound system is below average, no bass whatsoever. Cargo room is fantastic, I can fit up to 4 automobile quarter panels in the back and still have room to spare. Unfortunately there is no tilt wheel so I find myself hunching over the steering wheel and thats not good for your back and not very comfortable I hope to see tilt wheel available in future models. The acceleration is very good for a van this size I've clocked the 0-60 at about 17.5 seconds which is more than quick enough on the freeway. The ride is quite tippy i find it going on 3 wheels on any steep turn into a driveway even at very slow speeds....read morehide

- great fuel economy, regular maintanance (oil change etc.) is at 10,000 mi. intervals,
- when empty ride is rough like a sports car, small mirrors,
i run a live sound co. in NY and i purchased this cargo van back in nov of 2002 for my business, this van can handle heavy loads with such relative ease, and fuel economy is great even with loads, its got more room in the back then a 10 footer truck, has anti roll bars front and back, turning radius is just amazing it can manuever into and out of areas that even cars cant, it even has a little slider next to the headlamp switch that electronicaly adjusts the headlamp aim, cruise control works great, and although it has an electronic limiter factory set to 87 MPH i dont see the need for ever going faster but believe me i have taken it to that speed with even full loads without the engine screaming....read morehide

- Nice styling, good handling, long warranty, fuel economy, spacious & tall
- Better interior appointments, more standard features & twin sliding doors
Good size van that seats 10 people in comfort, with high ceiling for ease getting in and out, plus lot of space for luggage or cargo. Cool comfort with the optional rear airconditioning and heating. A tiptronic automatic transmission is standard which is good traveling in the mountains. The high visibility is helpful in traffic to see beyond the cars or trucks in front. Reliable Mercedes Benz 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine that has good torque to carry loads and inclines. Good 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS for panic stops and stability control to boot. I believe this van is better than the mini vans or the standard vans being sold in the U.S. in many aspects and I found the winner!...read morehide
