- The look and performance is just unbeatable at any prices
- Rough ride but that what I expect from a Street Legal RACE Car
There're lots of reviews by jealous people who can't afford one or don't even drive one yet. Once you drive a Viper you would never think of a GM or FORD. The acceleration is incredible, the look is so unique and beautiful yet so masculine. The most I like about the Viper is you would rarely see one on the street every month or so unlike other so called USA sport cars or Porsche which flood the streets everywhere. So, don't lie to yourself. if you can afford it, buy it, drive it then review a true meaningful one....read morehide

There are those who believe that life here...began out there, far across the Univers...but VIPER is what gives colour to life.

- power, handling, looks, handling
- price, american build quality, ground clearance.
I thoroughly love this car. It is a true american muscle car / racer. It dosn't have the build quality of a european car, but this doesn't detract from its appeal. A pure driver's car without all those unnecessary techy gismos needed to portect less skillful drivers found on most cars today. That's what I love about it. Pure and raw! Take it to the track where it really shines and can outperform other muscle cars. Where one can prove and sharpen one's driving skills....read morehide

- The way the car looks and the power is awesome
- Needs cruise control and stability control
My license plate says it all "1BADVIP". This is my 2nd Viper previous one was a 1995. Purchased new the 95 was 52000. Wholesaled it for 43000 in 2004. I would think that the value of the viper is not about the cost as much as it is the depreciation, and in this case was great. The Viper is the most highly noticed American car out there even though GM is trying to copy the looks with the new vette. I think the new vette is the best vette yet but is not in the same class as the viper. When the 600hp viper arrives in a few months i will be considering another change....read morehide

- Great styling, wide power band, tight handling, braking second to none
- gas milage, but hey its a V-10!!!
I absolutely love my car. The paint is the best quality I have ever seen for a factory paint job. performance wise, its amazing. true drivers car. I get looks everytime I drive down the road in it... so much so the girfriend is a little worried. Overall the car is just amazing. By far the best performing car I have ever had. And if I ever need to go faster, 10 grand and I have an 800 hp car. What other car can you say that about???...read morehide

- Ride quality is surprisingly good, 0 to 60 in low 4s range, styling, 500 watt stereo
- Poor fuel economy -- I fill it up 3 times per week from city driving. Has to get like 6 mpg
Pin you to your seat acceleration, wicked good looks turn heads everywhere. I've even had people take my photo at stoplights. Everyone wants to ask questions. This is not the car for you if you don't like attention. You will feel like a celebrity every single day. 1 Viper will get more attention in the parking lot than 20 Vettes and 911s on a truck on fire.
Now, for the not so vain, it is a great all-around sportscar. I was afraid to buy this car originally due to the reports of it being difficult to drive as a daily driver. I'll admit is a difficult car to drive slow esp. in stop and go traffic. I'm not the best manual transmission driver in the world and I'll probably wear out my clutch well before its time, but the car rewards even bad drivers with great performance and a relatively easy drive.
Cornering and handling are second to none. Switching lanes is basically flick of the wrist. I've never been able to maneuver through traffic as easily in any other car.
The 500 watt stereo has a subwoofer between the two seats. On every other car I've had, I've had to set the bass to the highest possible setting to feel it. On the Viper, at +2 out of +8, the bass is stronger than any other vehicle I've been in.
Exclusivity is another reason I purchased this car. Every other car is a dime a dozen on the streets. Think of how many Boxters, Corvettes, 350Z's, etc. you see on a daily basis. Now, think of the last time you saw a Viper. Personally, I see 1 or 2 a year. To own a car that's as rare as a Ferrari or Lamborghini is an incredible feeling. Not only that, the current body style is likely to last through 2012, so the current style will be current for many more years.
Price: The price of the Viper is comparable to many of today's luxury cars. A used 500SL Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW 6 or 7 series, Lexus 460, Porsche Cayman S, Corvette Convertible or Z06 will all cost about the same as a new Viper. Not only that, a search of Autotrader.com shows that even Vipers made 15 years ago (1992) are still selling for $30K or more.
That's about it. I can't say enough about this car. The only cons are the fuel economy. I have to fill up twice a week, whereas in my old 350Z, I only filled out once every two weeks, so this gets quite expensive. Insurance costs are about the same on the 350Z and Viper, surprisingly enough. The other con is the car is so rare, that you feel awkward driving it to anything, but the best restaurants and stores. You feel a little silly driving a Viper to Wal-Mart....read morehide

- Unbelievable performance, lots of leg room, golf clubs fit in trunk
- Tires don't extend beyond rims, making them susceptible to scratches
Love my 2003 convertible. No service required other than oil changes so far. Ridiculously fast! Thumpin' stereo with subwoofer rocks!
