Terrific Car!

by RacingMominCalifornia from Northern California (7/08/08)
Pros:Awesome ride. My first hemi is so much fun to drive! Front & back seats are comfortable.
Cons:Watch out for the larger than normal blind spot. Takes some getting used to.

Plenty of power, lots of room, great looking car. Mine is black with dark tinted windows. I hear the comment every week "I want one of those" or "that's going to be my next car" from all ages of people. Average gas mileage.

NICE RIDE

by George from Los Angeles (7/02/08)
Pros:Great looking car in red, exactly what I wanted.
Cons:None noted.

Moves out well, it is an eye catcher. In the drivers seat you really do not think it is a 4 door family car. While only a V6 it was super on a road trip up the coast. I could see MOPAR greatness in this one.

The real "4-Door Sportscar"

by Justin from Los Angeles, CA (6/10/08)
Pros:Outstanding acceleration, Excellent handling, Great stereo, Killer looks
Cons:Spongy brake pedal, needs more aggressive CPU, gaz guzzler tax

It's 1970 all over again!! For the price, there's no sports sedan in production that can touch it. Performance and looks are top notch. The 97-02 modified chassis from the Mercedes Benz E-Class gives this car world class handling. Don't believe me? Then take advantage of the SRT Track experience that comes free when you purchase an SRT model. Believe me, you'll be even more impressed than you were the day you bought the car. Other notables are the interior room. I'm 6'6", and I can stretch my legs out in the driver seat. The only real con is the less than aggressive computer stock computer programming. Sometimes the car is hesitant off the line, almost as if it hiccups and then goes. This is easily remedied with a Diablosport programmer. Use that coupled with a 180 degree thermostat and a cold air induction, and you'll never want to stop driving your car! You'll be begging for pole position at red lights. Just be careful!

WHAT CAN I SAY...IT'S A HEMI!!

by JOHN from ST. LOUIS, MO (5/15/08)
Pros:OUTSTANDING LOOKS, REAR SPOILER MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE, BLACK IS AWESOME!!
Cons:SLOW TO SHIFT--FROM NEUTRAL TO DRIVE OR REVERSE...

FIRST NEW CAR IN 11 YEARS; FIRST MUSCLE CAR EVER. AFTER TEST-DRIVING HEMI, WAS A DONE DEAL. LOVE THE HEMI POWER, AND "FUEL-SAVER" MODE--DOWN TO FOUR CYLINDERS AT SPEED. I THINK I'LL REMOVE THE HEMI "BADGES" ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT OF DOORS, TO DISGUISE WHEN IT'S TIME TO GIT...

ONLY (OTHER) CONS: TRUNK LID NOT SPRING ASSISTED, MUST LIFT PNEUMATIC BY HAND; LEATHER SEAT DOES NOT FEEL "WRAP-AROUND"; "CHROME-CLAD" ALLOY WHEELS HAVE PLASTIC (GASP!!!) INSERTS!?!?--UNLIKE MANY I'VE SEEN THAT ARE TRUE CHROMED ALLOY.

THIS CAR GETS CONSIDERABLE PRAISE (AND REQUESTS--DENIED OF COURSE--TO BE DRIVEN BY OTHERS...)

SXT in Torored is teeerrrrrrrrifffffffffic

by Louie A from Schererville, IN (5/11/08)
Pros:Great Handling and ride; probably the best looking mass produced car on the road!
Cons:Nothing thus far!

I purchased my 2008 SXT about 6 weeks ago and have nothing but praise for the vehicle. I went out to purchase a Cadillac, test drove two (the CTS and STS) and, while thinking over my options, stopped by a nearby Chrysler/Dodge dealer. One test drive in the Charger and I signed the papers - great size, comfort, interior and trunk space; incredible handling and power for a V6; and, in my opinion, it is the best looking "regular" car on the road with an amazing paint finish! To date I love everything about my Charger, and get compliment everywhere I go (almost everyone praises the Torred color).

Mustang? Not

by GoPar from USA (5/10/08)
Pros:Tons of power, handling, beefy suspension, motor, cool interior
Cons:Steering is AMG-like (not precise), drinks gas (15mpg).

Anyone that thinks a musting GT holds a candle to the SRT8 is a fool. The SRT8 is based off the E55 mercedes chassis as well. Rides like a dream, 13.2 qtr mile, and .91 on the skidpad (same handling #'s as a C5 vette). The SRT guys did a good job with the upgrades, get one if you can.

Buzzing in a Bee

by Les from Sierra Vista, Arizona (5/07/08)
Pros:Loaded, Roomy, Fast, Quiet and Comfortable ride w/windows up
Cons:Gas Mileage, insufficient power outlets, too many gadgets tied to Stereo System

Purchased the 2008 SRT8 SuperBee edition. Head- turner with character. Considerably faster than my previous 2006 RT with 5.7 Hemi. Wish Dodge would make the 6.1 Hemi like the 5.7 with cylinder cut-out at highway speeds to increase mileage. Roomy rear seat for children or adults with easy ingress/egress. Luxury and sports car combined for the whole family. My 06 5.7 blew the doors off a Mustange Cobra, can't imagine what this one will do with 85 more HP!

Love this ride.

by Matt from Jersey City, NJ (5/07/08)
Pros:Looks, comfort, fun to drive
Cons:Rush-hour mileage is rough, could have been tuned better

Mine is actually an '06 which I bought back in Sept. 05 when they first came out. Loved it then, love it now. Have had basically no problems outside of standard maintenance (oil, filters, etc). I redid the intake, the PCM, and the exhaust to make her purr like a tiger and improve performance. Sure, I'd love to have a Hemi, but I'll take the mileage and the fact that I wouldn't be able to get much past my current top speed anyways with the roads around here.
