I have a 2012 F-150 Lariat in White Platinum Met with the Ecoboost engine and all I can say is "WOW"! I am averaging 19.6 mpg in city and highway combined and 23.4 on the highway. However I am a "Vanishing Breed" in that I drive the POSTED SPEED LIMITS!! If you want to race at 70,80,90, mph. then don't cry about your fuel economy.
Everything on my vehicle works as advertised and especially how quick the brakes work. As for the Ecoboost engine all I can say is "WOW"!! Ford has hit a "Home Run" with this engine. In the past I have owned many pick up trucks including 4 other F-150s but I have to say this one tops them all.
I have no Cons to report....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Ordered this truck with tow package and Ecoboost engine.
Bed capacity = 3K lbs.!; towing capacity = 11.3K lbs!
Odometer now 10K, and mpg is actually improving. Overall started at 17.0, but now 18.5 and still rising. Last trip of 700miles was 21mpg, with about 20% city driving.
Only negative are the "suicide" rear doors which are a pain in parking lots. I've now owned 6 pickups and this is vaastly superior to any other. It will do absolutely anything I want a truck to do....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Bought 2012 Lariat 4x4 4 weeks ago to replace a 2010 XLT 4x4 regular cab. The other truck was nice, but this is phenominal. The 5.0 and the 6-speed transmission work better than the 4.6 3v/6- speed in the 2010. There is no lag when you step on it and the fuel mileage is a touch better(1 mpg). Leather heated/cooled seats are nice, rides like my wife's fusion, very smooth. The newer Sync is much improved over the '10, which was hard to hear at times. Looking forward to seeing how well the 4A setting works in changing NY conditions. Loved the 2010, but the 2012 Lariat is in another league all together. I can't think of any cons other than maybe the fake woodgrain on the dash, which isn't that big of a deal to me. Can't rate reliability for the 2012, the 2010 never gave me a problem, so I don't anticipate anything major....read morehide
