2013 F150 4x4 SC FX4 5.0L I have owned 2 older F150's with the 5.4 engine and the new 5.0 engine is much better in both power and fuel mileage. With the 3.73 rear axle I can climb a 6% grade highway at 70 mph and keep it under 2000 rpm's. Less rpm's on the engine when climbing a long mountain road. Its amazing how I can just lightly touch the gas pedal and this truck goes 70 mph on a steep hill. I live on top of a mountain with deep snow and I need very capable 4x4 for unplowed roads and the heavy weight of this truck makes all the difference. Plus I have the capability for heavy hauling and towing,,, the compact 4x4 pickups fall short for my needs plus I get the same gas mileage with the larger truck.
