My Lariat truck has all options, some of which I did not want, but now love. The back up sensors are a dent saver. The auto air conditioning is superior. Fit and finish of the truck is better than Chevy or Dodge and is an equal to Toyota. The diesel engine is responsive and the tow haul mode helps on long down grades and stops the transmission from excessive shifting on upgrades. The fuel ecomony is the best I have ever had in a truck of this size. Hauling a 12 foot enclosed utility trailer up route 395, one can expect 15-17 mpg overall. With a camper shell and truck loaded, on fairly level ground with steady driving speed of 60-65 mph, one can expect 18-23 mpg. The engine is noisy on start up but starts easily in both hot and cold weather. I run Rotella T Synthetic 5-40 oil and find that this brand promotes better mileage and a quieter engine. I was not crazy about the sun roof option, but it works very well in ventilating the truck in moderate temperatures. The airconditiong works flawlessly and only accounts for about a .2mpg drop (weather temps of 90 degrees or below). The extendable rear view mirrors are a life saver along with the lower 1/6 part of the of the mirror being independently adjustable. The six CD premium sound system equals any home system in sound quality. On long trips, the seats and seating position are very comfortable. The optional step on rail is well postioned as to actually help the person getting in and out of the vehicle. There are also helpful grap handles at each door. The rear seats fold up and a corrigated metal base folds down to store items. This base helps prevent sliding and provides a solid support. Rear seat room is generous, to say the least. The optional 20" tires and rims not only look good but help ventilate the discs on all four wheels. Fuel capacity of 38 gallons really helps on long trips so fuel ups are infrequent.
