- Fairly comfortable on long journeys.Very reliable , decent payload capacity
- Very poor on gas, For a small truck the 4.0 litre drinks the fuel.
I bought this truck new and after 6 return visits to the dealer they finally corrected the problem with the Check Engine light coming on repeatedly for no apparent reason.
Following my initial apprehension with this Ford product I am very happy with this vehicles performance.It has been very reliable and after 27000 I have had no further problems and I find the vehicle pleasant to drive and comfortable .It will pull anything and the bucket seat are comfortable .For a small truck it does a very good job as far as comfort and payload.The only negative comment I have is the gas mileage which is around 14 miles to the gallon with the 4.0 liter engine with automatic transmission.
I would buy another Ford and I am happy with the value for money and overall performance of this vehicle....read morehide

tHIS IS MY SECOND RANGER, ILOVE THESE TRUCKS BUT IT IS ABOUT TIME FOR A MAJOR BODY CHANGE.
