- Very solid truck, Revvy 4cy with good torque and good gas milage
- center consol should open to the side, thats it.
i got this truck New for less than 13000 so I was pleased with the price, an xlt w/body trim, cd, s/l rear window and nice int. This truck is solid, it feels solid on the street and highway, with no squeeks or rattles, no body flex. It's got 26,000 miles on it with only a hose clamp problem fixed the first time at about 1000 miles at the dealership. no other problems. the 4cy is torquey and revs freely with the 5sp auto, o/d lockout works well and it criuses on the highway at 70 with no effort. Somtimes it will downshift to 2nd gear (from 5th) when I mash the pedal at highway speeds which tachs the motor which I don't like, deosn't hurt the motor but it is bothersome. Most downshifts are into 3rd and away I go, great motor. Ford had a problem with this tranmission sticking in forward when you shift into reverse, think in had to do with the factory transmission fliud, so they did an unofficail recall and added an additive, so if you buy a used one check with the dealer to see if this was done to yours, they can look it up by the Vin number. Gets about 23 mpg highway and I'm no gas saver driver.
