All prblems stated plus dealership and corparate gave run around about all the massive rust found undernieth truck.Very rude and defiant people finally got rid of piece of garbage

After totalling my 2001 Dakota in January, I was faced with the choice of what new small truck to buy as a replacement. I ruled out the new Dakota due to its (in my opinion) hideous styling and the fact that it no longer comes in a regular cab. The Japanese offerings were rough-riding, grossly overpriced and have rather bizarre styling as well. The new GM offerings (Canyon and Colorado) were a nice size and reasonably priced, but again, the styling turned me off.
Having owned 3 Rangers in the past and never having had a seconds trouble with any of them, I opted to give the new ones a try. I was very pleased with the look, the ride, the power and the price. My only real regret is the lack of full instrumentation and the cheap looking interior. The 3.0 V-6 provides ample power, the ride is smooth, the handling is great, and the truck has a solid feel that I didn't feel in the competition. I can see why Ranger has been the best selling small truck for the past 20+ years. It's the only REAL choice in the small truck field....read morehide
