- Great city MPG! Fun to drive! great interior space!
- the base audio is a bit lacking, the tri-coat paint isn't as solid as I'd hoped

This is a great family car! fun to drive, great fuel mileage in city. I wasn't searching for a hybrid, but this car just happened to have the interior volume, performance, and economy that I wanted.
It takes some time to break in the engine, and learn how to drive a hybrid, but if I'm careful I can get 47 MPG city. The only downside is highway, interstate at 75+mph that is, I only get about 38 MPG with AC on and a load. plus, I mostly drive city and routinely get 50+ MPG on trips with out trying. Driving just normally I have an average of about 42.5 MPG. My lifetime average is 39.2 MPG, but that's because I drove crosscountry at 75-80MPH, getting only 35-37MPG, before the software update.
The EPA "highway" rating isn't at those speeds though, I learned later.
The interior space, it is amazing. I am 73 inches tall and I don't have to put the driver seat all the way back to be comfortable.the rear seats fold down, so there is lots of space for cargo if needed.
My previous car was a 2007 mustang GT, 5 speed, and this car still enticed me. it corners well, and driving it conservatively or aggressively is still enjoyable.
The only complaint I have is that the sound system doesn't compare to the shaker 500 system I had previously. Also, there is no spare tire. there is a tire repair system included, which works well.
If you are going to buy a hybrid, you can factor in 40+ MPG for your gas budget if you are driving mostly city. that should easily offset the cost of a conventional car if you drive a lot.
