2005 Ford Crown Victoria User Reviews
- $4,297 - $5,884
- No trim specified for this review
- RWD & powerful V-8, large comfortable sedan
- Could use more low-end torque, better trailer towing rating
I passed my road test on a '67 Ford Galaxie my father owned at the time and inheritted the car from him. I've driven it and a '72 Galaxie until this summer and really didn't want a car with electronic ignition or fuel injection. Parts for the older cars became harder to come by and involved longer delivery times and I finally had to give in and buy a new car. Aside from taking off from a stop (where it could use a little more power and torque), the new car performs very much like the old ones -- performance that has pleased me since my youth. The quietness and smoothness of the ride amaze me. Gas mileage is almost twice what my older cars get. I am disappointed that the new car is manufacturer rated to tow only 1500 or 2000 pounds GTW (depending on which Ford publication you look in). One of the few options I got was the single CD player and I am very pleased with its performance.
