2006 Ford E-Series Wagon User Reviews
E-350 XLT Super Duty Extended shown
- $8,710 - $10,103
- Improvements in engine H.P. and drive train are great, , very comfortable inside
- Outside Looks a little stale. some controls hard to reach on dash, so many bells and whistles delete
Large vehicle milage is about 14-15 mpg. Compared to the interior of my 94 chateau this one is cheep and full of cost cutting. Lost rear radio and ac controls back windows will not open on rear doors. Cigarette lighter and power port on dash should be lower or moved so ac and radio controls are closer to driver. No power and lumbar seat for front pasenger. Like the mirrors on doors. Like increase in power of engine and addition of rear disc brakes. Runs and rides good. Owners manual lacks sufficient information on all funtions of vehicle. Need more information for trailer towing and how the transmission operates. Like that power steering and transmission have aux. coolers
Arm rest was deleted off captain chairs on the door sides on the front drivers and passenger chairs. Hard to get left arm comfortable on steering wheel when driving. There is an arm rest on the doors but to far away to be comfortable and I am a good size person. I would also like to see the amber colored rear signal lens used again to separate red break light from red turn signal. Center console on engine console is lousy bring back the folding tray with the drink holders and add the drink holders in the rear for the back captains chairs. I don't need four drinks up front with me. I have owned a 78,82,94 now 2006 ford vans. I have to say the 94 was the best one over all the others. I like the 2006 but I don't love it....read morehide

- Smooth ride, roomy, reliable,
- Difficult to park in tight spaces, no sliding door available on drivers side like the GM's
I traded in an '01 Astro van for my E-150 Chateau and it was a great move. My E-150 is quieter, more comfortable and definitely more reliable than my Astro. With the 5.4L V8, my Ford van can tow my boat & trailer no problem. Did you ever notice that most vans on the road are a Ford? They outsell GM & Dodge's vans 2:1 combined and there is probably a very good reason for that....read morehide

- great fuel economy/leather seats are great comfort/
- noise level but it hauls ass big time
Drives excelent, better than my previous 150. Looks proud and stands out in a lot. The E350 Chateau is a great investment if you can learn to love the new "green", power srokers. Ford should marry themselves to International if they know whats good for them. The 6.0 diesel is HOT HOT HOT and economical and that almost an impossibility in todays marketplace....read morehide
