I bought the 2009 edge SE brand new in 2009, 3 yrs later I am trading it in. I was convinced they sold me a lemon! I had to get a new battery 3 months after! In 3 years i have replaced 2 batteries, all 4 wheel bearings, engine fan, brake booster Twice, brakes twice, and AC problems all the time. And I hardly drove anywhere because I thought it was me. Have had the Edge aprox 18 months no real problems until 6 weeks ago had airconditioner on due to hot weather when air is on water from air is to drain out hose called air conditioner condensate drain, well the one on this Edge is not working backs up under dash until compartment is full then leaks on your feet while driving, not good!! so went to Ford dealer for a fix, maybe correct the problem well they put a wet vac on end of hose sucked out debris and called it good this same thing happen two more times now I have to put shop vac to hose at least every three days hot July weather air is always on others have to be having the same problem if you do please Write a Review...read morehide

Despite my gut feeling I once again bought a Ford and once again Ford proved me right. 2 years in and it has been in for repair for the dreaded leaking PTU. Do not buy this car, reasearch leaking PTU for this vehilce. Since about 3k miles it has been in 4 times for repair. Ford cannot fix problem and as usual denied there was an issue until thousands had same problem. Ford for me never again, research this vehicle before you buy, last Ford mechanic told me they still can't solve problem and all new vehicles still using same parts which don't work very well....read morehide

We bought this car about 4 weeks ago with 32000 miles. It spent about a week and a half in the shop pretty quick after the purchase. The seals to the "PTU" were leaking causing transmission fluid to puddle under the car. This is obviously a known problem b/c there is a TSB out on it. They wouldn't give it back and wouldn't you know the seals were on back order.

With that said, I can tell you that Ford service dept. has leaped to the moon when it comes to their customer service. The service guys where helpful, courteous, and kept me informed as to their every move. (They didn't do that a few years ago.)

I would recommend the extended ESP plan from Ford on any vehicle. They gave me a rental car (a Ford Flex, awesome but ugly) that was covered thru the plan. It was a nice experience, all and all.

Back to the Edge. Nice ride, quick for its size, and overall has been a nice vehicle, so far....read morehide

Love, Love, LOVE my Ford Edge. I have had it 2 years now and it is still perfect. The overall luxury of the vehicle is fantastic. Ford went above and beyond with this vehicle and they are definitely world class leaders in the crossover.

I will be getting my second Edge in March!

My husband and I weren't interested in the Edge when we went auto shopping. However we drove one with Sync, the VISTA roof and we LOVE IT! It's amazing. Good on gas, in the snow, with the family. It's great! The Sync technology is awesome! We love the phone and iPod features. A MUST HAVE FOREVER! When i thought it couldn't get any better, it did... My friend's husband drove their edge slipped on black ice and rolled 30 ft down an embankment, landed on the VISTA roof and WALKED AWAY! They totaled out the car... and she's on her way to buying another one!...read morehide

I love the look of this car, but it's transmission is very moody. Won't stay in gear and gets terrible gas mileage as a result. Dealer can't seem to find a problem. So frustrating. A $33,000 car should not be having transmission problems.

I bought a 2008 Edge brand new. I absolutley love it! I have owned about 10 cars and this is by far my favorite. Quite smooth ride and enough power to pass whomever I feel the need to pass! I have 2 teenagers and a preteen and we all fit in with plenty of space to through stuff into. Love this car!...read morehide

ford should be proud of themselves for making a vehicle that drives and performs as well as this vehicle---it is the '' real deal '' in autos.It has plenty of power(more than the average driver will ever need), real curb appeal,good handling, and very comfortable. I'm getting anywhere from 25 to 28 mpg on a trip(70mph+/-) and 21mpg around town.With out exaggeration, I have probably had at least a dozen people approach me regarding what kind it was and how did I like it---MY REPLY IS THAT IT'S A FORD, THE ONLY CARMAKER THAT DIDN'T ASK FOR A BAIL OUT, I'm proud of Ford for that....read morehide
