Bought the Edge new in February 2012. It replaced an Odyssey. Big change. The AWD is great and I never have an issue in a snowy pass or in town. Quiet, firm ride. This is a truck chassis, so I expected a firm ride. Exterior is nice, back up camera is a must. My only gripe is the console has cheap plastic that catches my right foot sometimes. It also did not come with Homelink, which is standard nowadays. Plenty of room for four. We have driven it half way across the country this past summer and enjoyed the ride. Sync is very easy to use after you figure it out. I like the dash where I can customize the display.

I was learey going back to domestic, but am really impressed at the Ford lineup now. The only thing I have had done is oil changes and a software update for the Sync and heater....read morehide

I love this car. It looks great, it handles great, and it has the power. The Sync screen is outstanding. I never thought I would find a car to replace my 2007 Toyota RAV4 AWD, but I did.

This is my 2nd Ford Edge, my 1st was a 2007, which I loved! My new one has been averaging 22 mpg which is better than the16 mpg on the 2007! So I love the 2012 much better! I've never had a problem with either one and my next car hopefully will just be a newer version of the Edge!

I loved this car at first site. I test drove it for 2 days and decided I could live the small draw backs. My sync touch was updated to new system by dealer. I love it! I see most complaints are about the Mytouch not being quick to respond being a techy I know its Not a laptop or tablet so I would have to say its interface is still above its competitors. This is my 3rd Ford , I think they are getting better Every year....read morehide

I rented one for a 1200 mile round trip, driving in a variety of weather conditions. Haven't driven a Ford in 10 yrs, It was comfortable, handled well, nice fit and finnish, Impressive overall.
The advertised MPG was way off, more like 15 city, 21 hwy, Road noise was loud. The console, after reveiwing the owners manual, was a dangerous distraction in use. Torque steer in puddled water and wet roads....read morehide

Ford apparently fixed most or all of the previous complaints about the Edge. We like the Navtec navigation package and Sync (voice-command activated features). Seat room front and rear is excellent, but the front seats could be more form-fitting. Good ground clearance, large wheels and AWD should be good in snow next winter, which is why we bought it. Ride is firm, bordering on harsh on rough roads, but it handles ruts well and corners surprisingly flat. Wipers are excellent. Visibility to rear is restricted by high headrests on rear seats, as is the case with many new cars. Blind spot sensors make up for it though. Cruise senses a car ahead and adjusts speed to maintain a constant interval....read morehide

My Ford Touch/Sync system malfunctions monthly. The transmission is aweful.

Do NOT buy this car. I have the 2011 Edge. Nothing but problems with the computer. I cannot wait for my lease to end and give up this piece of crap. The transmission sounds like it is going to fall out of the car with sudden speed changes. Pulling a fuse to reset the computer on the side of I-95 was the last straw....read morehide
