Ford apparently fixed most or all of the previous complaints about the Edge. We like the Navtec navigation package and Sync (voice-command activated features). Seat room front and rear is excellent, but the front seats could be more form-fitting. Good ground clearance, large wheels and AWD should be good in snow next winter, which is why we bought it. Ride is firm, bordering on harsh on rough roads, but it handles ruts well and corners surprisingly flat. Wipers are excellent. Visibility to rear is restricted by high headrests on rear seats, as is the case with many new cars. Blind spot sensors make up for it though. My Ford Touch/Sync system malfunctions monthly. The transmission is aweful.

Do NOT buy this car. I have the 2011 Edge. Nothing but problems with the computer. I cannot wait for my lease to end and give up this piece of crap. The transmission sounds like it is going to fall out of the car with sudden speed changes. Pulling a fuse to reset the computer on the side of I-95 was the last straw....read morehide

First and last Ford I'll buy. Got suckered into it by the new design, great ride & power.
So many problems, the dealers' Service Writers know me by first name - as does the in-house rental agent. It's really a shame. I really like so many things about it, but who has time to continuously take a vehicle in to get fixed in 2012 which stickered at $43,700???...read morehide

The touchscreen is very unreliable. Navigation system comes and goes. Safety features linked to touchscreen like rear camera and adaptive cruise control works only intermittently.
New car sent to dealership 6 times with poor communication and no fix to the problem.

I have owned this Edge SEL (with 205A package upgrade) one day. Not thrilled actually.
The roof rack I bought for about $175.00 does not have cross bars for my car top carrier......surprise !! ....... those are extra I guess. No homelink? My 2002 Honda's have that ! I do like the color and interior leather.......... and the sound system/console is nice....read morehide

Since I purchased my Edge, it's has live up to all the hype. It deleaver a smooth comfortable ride and power when you need it. The sync system still has some kinks, but I can see it get better in coming years. Over all I would say the Edge is worth the money.
