Purchased As New
After driving Mercedes 25 years and into my senior years, I couldn't justify spending $60k plus for a car. American cars have come a long way since the 80s and 90s. I went to my Ford dealership locally and found the Edge...didn't really know anything about them at the time. First thing I liked was the stepping INTO the Edge, not DOWN into a car...that helped because I'm getting older and it's simply easier. Then, I took the Edge for a test drive and was profoundly amazed by how it reacted. It was VERY quiet, solid, responsive, quiet, and had a great overall finish to it. It also had a cup-holder...after 25 years with Mercedes, I never had one (My last was a 1994 E-coupe). The whole thing felt good... So, I bought it. That was in 2009 and I have NEVER regretted the decision - great service, excellent reliability, looks great. If I buy another car, I'll buy another Edge or whatever Ford has then.
