- Pros
- looks good nice ride
- Cons
- for a hybrid, lousy gas milage
After 1 year and 10000 miles I am getting rid of it. The only way you will get good gas mileage is, you have to totally drive different for the battery to kick in. Must drive correctly under 25 miles per hour and accerlate correctly to 25 miles per hour. more hype than what is worth if you do a lot of city driving like in Chicago, L.A. and New York City, you might coup your money back but only if you decided to keep it 5 years or more....read morehide

- Pros
- Economy like 4dr sedan, sedan-like ride. Good brakes. Pricey-got ripped off!
- Cons
- Weak acceleration entering a fwy-need 5K RPM! Squicks at back end. Weak heater-takes 5min!
I lyk my 2003 V6 Escape, but suddenly window switch broke-off and drove on da cold! So, Ford guys sold me 06 Hybrid instead of fixing the broken switch for free! I hate them! I like the comfort drive and brakes of 06 Hybrid compared to 03 V6. The 06 Hybrid is a nice car, but heavier and slower than 03 V6....read morehide

- Pros
- A small suv that a six footer can get into easily. Nice blue color.
- Cons
- Steering makes noise when making left turns. Right rear wheel well is noisy.
Lousy gas milage: 20.1 -23.2 at best. If I can get 14 MPG out of my v-10 I should be able to milk better MPG out of a Hybrid. Losing money with every fill up.

- Pros
- 32 MPG day in and day out. Plenty of power with surprising boost from electric motor.
- Cons
- Towing capacity is tiny, but it's to be expected in such a high MPG vehicle.
Love it, love, it LOVE IT! Plenty of comfort with 4WD on demand for Rocky Mountain winters. Almost double the mileage of my '03 Tribute 4WD.

- Pros
- Fuel economy at 32MPG city/highway driving. IPOD connector would be a nice touch
- Cons
- Better insulation to dampen CVT and engine sound.
Gas mileage has actually gotten better overtime. Initially averaged 28-29MPG now get 32MPG in combined city/highway driving.

- Pros
- I live in a rural area but still average 31 to32 mpg overall
- Cons

I have had my car a little over a year and am very happy with it. It is zippy, no hesitation when I step on the gas. The visual is very good, much better than a lot of the other vehicles I have owned. It fits my needs totally. In a year or so my daughter will get this one and I plan on purchasing new one....read morehide

- Pros
- A great compact SUV, drives like a reguar car.
- Cons
- Only getting 28 MPG. AC stops when it is running on the battery.
Overall I love this SUV, it is one of Fords best products. I changed to the Hybrid from the 3.0 2002 version and I am very happy. OK I miss the acceleration of the 3.0 but it is not too bad at all.
Beware of the rear carpet at the back of the car, it is a joke. It is not fixed down and it moves all the time, which is not good if you have a dog who needs to travel in the back.
The AC does not run if the car is standing still or running on the battery. The engine will run as normal if you turn the AC full on otherwise it will shut off as will the AC....read morehide5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- We love our 07 Hybrid. Our gas mileage is between 31.9 and 33 mpg with 4,700 miles.
- Cons
- The defroster does not work unless the engine is running.
This is a great SUV for those interested in doing their part to conserve gas, reduce pollution and have fun. This SUV has plenty of room. We took our 5 year old camping. We were able to carry our tent, sleeping bags, air mattresses. Plus our cooler, food and two duffle bags with clothes. Our trip was through the mountains in South Western Virginia. Our gas milage never went below 32.1 mpg. Additionally the vehicle had plenty of pick up and abiltiy to maintain the speed limit up hill....read morehide

Was this review helpful to you?
- Pros
- environment, economy, efficiency, fun!
- Cons
- we want a stick shift!
-This car is a good efficient compromise between roominess and haul-ability on the one hand and fuel economy/ low emissions on the other. We generally average 30+ mpg (now that we know how to drive it and it is broken in), and we feel good driving it.
-The tax rebates nearly paid for the cost of the hybrid system.
-We have not had a single problem with the car since we bought ours over a year ago -- not one!
-The concept and execution on this car is great, and dealer service has been fine. Ford deserves a lot of credit for this car....read morehide8 out of 8 people found this review helpful.
