- Initial quality, comfort, towing capacity, interior capacity
I traded my F-150 S-crew for the Expy EL. I needed the ability to tow a camper that is 7,500 lbs, while transporting 2 adults, 4 kids and a 100lb golden retriever. The Expedition EL does this easily, with style and in comfort. This is one of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever driven. Yes, it is big and yes, it consumes fuel, but if you are careful, you can average 14mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. That is what I get, day in and day out. Towing, I get 9mpg, but that is to be expected.
The limited package give you leather seating plus driver and front passenger seats that are not only heated but cooled as well. A great feature.
I have owned this truck since March and have yet to take it back to the dealer. Build quality has far exceeded my expectations. Fit and finish are top notch. It gets an A+ for versatility. I can use it like a truck (it is built on a truck platform) and still enjoy the luxury and versatility of first class SUV. I have pulled tree stumps with this vehicle and chauffered top executives. In fact, one executive noted that she liked the ride of my Expedition over her BMW 5 series....read morehide

- Very roomy, smooth ride, love the upgrades
- Blind spot in review mirror when DVD player is down
We purchased this vehicle on 2/8/08 brand new. We love the way it rides and all the room. Great compartments in the cargo area. With only 800 miles on it so far, our gas mileage is 14.9 which we don't feel is too bad considering the size. The kids love the DVD entertainment center and we as parents love the wireless headphones so we can still listen to the radio. Overall we are extremely happy with our new expedition....read morehide

- POWER RUNNING BOARDS, BACKUP CAMERA, GPS NAVAGATION
- SHOULD HAVE PARKING SENSORS IN THE FRONT
I bought my 2008 Expedition EL Limited 4X4 back in October. I have had no issues with this SUV so far. I would recommend that everyone who wants to buy one make sure that it will fit in your garage, mine fits but barely! Interior room is excellent. Great to haul around 7 people in like I did for a Super bowl party, also great for my two 110 pound German Shepherds. The air conditioned seats are world-class and work perfectly here in Arizona. I bought this SUV because I will be moving to snow country soon, so I have yet to try the heated seats.
My two complaints are that a SUV which has parking sensors in the back should also have them in the front like the Land Rover Range Rover has, this SUV is very long and I like to make sure I am pulled as far up as possible when I park so the rear end does not stick out. Second complaint is that Ford is not offering this car with Microsoft...read morehide

- Love the way it drives for a big suv, fits everything, decent mpg for how big, love lay out
If you want better mpg get an escape, edge, or explorer, or free style, but for a large suv you should expect it with the purchase. It is a great Suv for any huge family, i love the bold look of the truck on the new expedition especially my matching front grill. If your in the market try to drive one Ford knows trucks....read morehide
