- I really like it's looks and it drives like a car.
- 11-12 mpg around town (surprising 21 on frwy)
Purchased As New
I bought my 2008 XLT 4x2 new and am happy that I did. I really like its looks. The build quality is excellent and I enjoy driving it a lot. It has been very reliable and I get 11 to 12 mpg in town and a surprising 21 mpg with freeway driving.
I would buy this vehicle again in a heartbeat and I would recommend buying it used if you are looking for a vehicle in this class....read morehide

- good fuel,fun to drive,nimble
- plastic smell
Bought in July 08 drove it from texas to oregon via all mountains. Averaged 22.5 over all. excellant at higher altitude. In states like Oregon with 55 mph speed limit vehicle idled down the road at 1250 rpm and was getting 24 to 26 mpg. I work for Ford as a Test driver and Transit driver (deliver new vehicle from factory by driving them) I get to drive all. By far the expedition is best over all. Second only to Super Duty F350 diesel. I am 61 years old....read morehide

- space, comfort, and ride was great
Just took a 4,600 mile trip from South Texas to North Michigan. The overall fuel mileage driving within 5 MPH of the speed limit was 21.7. This trip was covered over a week time and was a test to the Expeditions ability to serve as an all around vehicle and perfect vacation ride. On average my wife gets about 18 MPG in town and 21 MPG on the highway. Not alot of stop and go but perfect for a family of 6....read morehide

- Beautiful, comfortable, quiet
The only thing that could be considered a "con" is the 14.9 MPG, but if that was something I considered a deal-breaker, I wouldn't have looked at SUV's. That said, I traded my 2000 Expedition for a 2006 Explorer in October 2006. While I loved my Explorer, I really missed the roomy interior that the Expedition has. Three weeks ago, we traded it for a 2008 Expedition and I love, love, love everything about it. It is extremely quiet, even at high speeds. It has interior room that surpasses even the Suburban. It is big and beautiful, and commands attention and respect on the road. I have never loved a vehicle as much as this one, hands down....read morehide
