- Great ride, fuel economy, highway manners, visibility
- power, swaybar noise in cold, whiney engine
Purchased As Used
I purchased this car with 106872kms on it 24 Dec 12. I have taken it on six long road trips (600km per) in the winter in NB and NS and it is a very comfortable solid car. Visibility is excellent and it handles well in snow (have winter tires on). I have the upscale 6cd and audio kit - great sound. All the controls are well laid out and function well, although they take a bit of time to get used to. Hard to read LED readouts in daylight or if you have a glare. In cold weather the sway bars make a rattle that his annoying however if you grease the ends of them this will stop. Love the level readouts for various fluids, etc. Could have used a transmission level readout as well though. Car is extremely easy to enter/exit with no bending down. The car is underpowered, however I find that if you start out gentle and once you are going about 20km per hour and give it a little shot of gas it will take off fine. No problems with highway enter ramps using this method. Brakes tend to make a bit of noise and be careful going over speedbumps or entering raised driveways - the bottom of the car will hit due to distance ratio. Overall I am very satisfied with this vehicle and intend to keep it for a few years. I'm an older person so I remember when cars really had nothing like the gadgets present today. This is an excellent value (I paid 7499.00) for it and previously I had a 1993 Buick LeSabre Limited and although not as smooth or powerful a drive, it just seems a lot more solid and the interior updates are great.
