This is our 2nd Flex we've owned. My wife wasn't interested until she sat in one and drove it. Then she was absolutely in LOVE with it. The Ecoboost will allow this thing to fly low. If you've never driven one, drive it and you will own one.

- Gas mileage is not as good as I thought it would be

I love my Ford Flex!!!! It is a great car with lots of room and comfort. It has a lot of features and I call it my "smart" car ;) The gas mileage is not as good as I thought it would be...It will go around 250-300 miles on a tank of gas so averages about 15-17 miles per gallon for me. I still love it and am happy I made the choice on the Flex!!!...read morehide

This car has more room than my Durango ever had. All three Great Danes are comfortable in the back together.

We have really enjoyed our new Ford Flex! We went to buy a Chev Treverse and had not look yet at the Flex, but when we saw it and sat in it! Wow! We where hooked! So Comfortable, great for the long rides, even for the passengers. Glad that we looked, because it changed our minds.

- Pros
- Good fuel economy, great looks, very comfortable ride
- Cons
- 2nd row seat has problems folding down
Purchased As Used
This is a great vehicle. The ride is smooth, the fuel economy for a vehicle this size is good and the radio is really nice. I bought it used and saved over 10K from what a new one would run, which made it affordable. My sons (30 and 25) even like it - surprised! Beautiful paint job, great looking wheels. I'll be passsingthis one down to one of hte boys, but not for quite some time....read morehide

- Pros
- Tons of room, great amenities, quiet ride.
Purchased As New
We love our new Ford Flex! I was not interested in buying a huge, gas guzzling, pocket emptying SUV or an uncool minivan. The kids think the Flex is cool and it carries them, their friends, and everyone's baseball equipment with room to spare! The ride is quiet and very comfortable. Gas mileage around town has been totally acceptable so far and great on long trips. We love all the cool features with Sync, Sony sound system, and the navigation system. The Flex's unique looks are either a favorite or not and it seems that no one is middle of the road - they love or hate its style. I do not know a single person who owns one that does not love it! No complaints from us!...read morehide

- Pros
- Has a great retro type look that people admire.
- Cons
- No cover for the back carry area allows visibility. .

We have not owned an American car for over 35 years. Thank you Ford for the Flex. It looks great, not like every other similar car on the road, and guaranteed to turn heads. We are often asked "how do you like your flex?" and are proud to say "We love it". We are in our 70's and will think nothing of driving to another city 275 miles away in the morning, have lunch and go shopping, and drive back home again the same day. That's 8 hours of driving in one day. It is so comfortable and wonderful to ride in. This is expected to be our last car and we are so pleased with our choice. We can haul amazing things in it and don;t feel like we are driving a truck. Ford was really thinking when they came up with the unique outstanding design of the Flex....read morehide

- Pros
- Lots of room for kids and camping gear
- Cons
- I should have got the GPS and DVD player
Purchased As New
I love my Flex. This car comes with a lot of options. Due to my budget I did not get a GPS, DVD player, turbo charger, or a sun roof. However, the Refrigerator works great and I can't live without the keyless entry! A luggage would be nice as well.

- Pros
- Drives excellent, very comfortable, the look and plenty of room
- Cons
- Apple and Sync don't jive good.

This car was definetly a head turner at stop lights and parking lots when it first came out, but is now starting to blend in. I still love the look of it. It's almost like flex owners are in there own club, with the different look of the vehicle. It drives very well. Takes turns good, since it is lower to the ground than most SUV's. There is plenty of room in all the seating within the flex. Without moving the seats up a tall person can sit behind the passenger and driver in knee comfort. The third row is even comfortable with room. Behind the third row there is some room to store groceries or bags for traveling, not a lot of room but more room than you would find in another SUV (excluding the suburban or XL versions). The radio and speakers in the basic package are alright. The upgraded Sony deluxe speaker system is really good. The SYNC system is awesome. You can bluetooth through your phone or even hook a thumbdrive up to it with music on it. Just tell it what song to play and it finds it and plays it. The SYNC had some jitters with my Apple 3G phone, haven't tried the Apple 4 yet, but still worked. Works great with Android and Windows 7 phone. For me, the gas milelage was actually better than they said. I get 18 in the city and 24 on the highway. Just drove it to Disney World and back to Oklahoma and averaged over 24 m/g. Overall this is a great vehicle....read morehide
