2005 Ford Focus
There are 7 user reviews for the ZXW SE trim shown below
- Good Fuel Economy
- A/C is designed so the compressor shuts off when stopped in traffic
Purchased As New
Absolutely one of the best cars I have every owned. In 7 1/2 years and 144,000 miles all the repairs required have been to replace an alternator and that was covered under my extended warranty. I love my little focus wagon, wish they still made them.

- good on gas, good room space for family, handles great, engine warms quik (live in Canada)
- noisy engine(not well insulated), turn signal ....loud!!!
This car is a great choice for small family that wants space without the v6. The 2.0 litre works fine but a little noisy at times, but you get to like it!!! The turn signals are loud. Wanted to encourage a North American built car and i m glad i did!!! Ford overall quality improved 100% since the early 90s....read morehide

- GREAT, RELIABLE FUN CAR
- COULD USE MORE POWER, BUT IT STILL HAS GOOD PICK UP
I'M NOT REALLY A BIG FAN OF THIS CAR CAUSE I'M NOT THAT CRAZY ABOUT THE LOOKS, BUT I HAVE DRIVEN THIS CAR ON VERY LONG TRIPS FOR BUSINESS REASONS AND I WAS REALLY SURPRISED WITH IT. THIS CAR DRIVES VERY SIMILAR TO THE HONDA CIVICS WHICH IS A VERY GOOD THING. IT MAY NOT HAVE THE QUALITY OF A CIVIC BUT ITS STILL VERY GOOD. THIS CAR HAS A VERY PUNCHY TORQUEY MOTOR SIMILAR TO THE VOLKS JETTAS AND ITS ALWAYS WILLING TO MOVE VERY QUICKLY. IT HAS A SMALL WEAK 4 CYLINDER ENGINE BUT WHEN YOU DRIVE THIS CAR YOU WILL FORGET ALL THAT. IT DRIVES LIKE ITS READY TO ACCELERATE TO TOP SPEED AS SOON AS YOU TOUCH THE PEDAL. THIS CAR ALSO HANDLES VERY WELL, ON MY TRIPS I DRIVE ALONG A LOT OF MOUNTAIN ROADS WITH A LOT OF CRAZY CURVES AND THIS CAR TAKES THEM VERY WELL. IT ALSO HAS PLENTY OF CONTROL WITH HARD CORNERING AND BRAKING. THE LAST THING I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION IS THAT THIS CAR GETS GREAT GAS MILEAGE AND IF ANYONE DOUBTS THAT THEN YOU MUST BE ON CRACK CAUSE I DRIVE THIS CAR FOR AT LEAST 2 OR 3 HRS AT 85 TO 90 MPH AND IT USES UP A LITTLE MORE THAN 1/4 OF A TANK....read morehide

- Length of rear cargo room, standard MP3, AC, nice ride, 5yr/100k powertrain warranty
- could use better storage, deeper cupholders
I've had my car for 3 months, and drive mostly short trips in the city. I'm looking forward to using it for camping trips in the summer. It drives very nice, and the standard stereo is great. Fuel economy for me is quite low, but I have the automatic wagon and drive less than 3 miles most days. When I get it on the highway, I get better than 30 mpg. I was looking at the Escape, but this car has a longer rear cargo room for sleeping if it rains when camping, which was important to me, and this car cost MUCH less. I'd buy one again. Oh, and the dealership service is very good--fair and efficient....read morehide

- Good fuel economy, AC, cruise control
- Almost too many other things to mention, - I HATE MY NEW FOCUS!!!
The backseats squeak, (took into the dealership 3 times already)
THE WAGON'S HATCHBACK DOESN'T CLOSE VERY WELL. I have had it open by itself 3 times while driving!!!!!! :(
The wagon doesn't REALLY seat 4 comfortably. - Middle armrest is a TOTAL JOKE, I can't push it down or back far enough to get it out of the way AND the material it is made of is just too darn hard! It hurts your elbow after a while.
The windsheild wipers drive me CRAZY!!! THE WAY THEY DESIGNED THEM TO WORK IS JUST RIDICULOUS!
There are no flat surfaces to place a report or paper without it sliding off and landing on the floor! The drivers seat is too soft, The power locks are not back lite at night, the overhead lights are not user friendly and their are no lights in the second row for the kids,
the cabinet is too small, you bang your knees on the sharp edges of the dash
There is no place to put your loose change
the cup holders bang into your right calf when you drive,
the cup holder in the driver door is too small,
the gas tank is too small if you drive aprox 1 hour to work each day,
there is no room in the front to carry anything, (ie laptop bag or lunch bag etc)
the cigarette lighter has a detached cap (which is easy to lose)...read morehide

- Though it may look small, it rides like a luxury car. Had it for 2 months and am very happy with it
I reccomend this car without reservations. It has the advantages of a SUV, but the ride of a luxury car. I have been very happy with my choice, and I looked at a number of other vehicles before I bought this one.
