- I have a 2006. This is my 2nd. Price. Easy in & out. FUN to drive!
- City gas milage stinks. Hwy should be better!
I bought first year model 4dr Sedan. I have learn my lesson. Never buy first year models. Went to a Ford Ranger Edge. (great truck!) But, serious accident. Truck gone. Wanted to be low to ground again. I have a bad back now. One reason I went back to the Focus. The seats sit up high. Know one else in the the price range compares. I like the front leg room. The hatchback lets me carry stuff like my truck did. The car is fun to drive. Ford has made great improvements from the first one...........................read morehide

- good fuel economy, specially with gas prices now a days
- do not recommend, frequent repairs done approx. once every three months
I was a first time buyer, and liked the style and gas milage. (I had priviously owned a ford van) so I went to the dealer and bought a previouly owned car. (error, do not buy previosly owned cars) after a year the car began to make a weird noise, so took it to the service and my nightmare began! Transmission, brakes, cd player, and trunk latch broke one after the other. imagine the time you waist because your transportations is at the shop.... I do recommed to Beware, transmission aren't the best. I regret having bought this car. I'm pro. buying American but I will not buy anything coming from ford. Please also note how busy their service/repair is, when you go looking for a car. if it's pretty busy that should tell you something....read morehide

- Pep, fuel economy, price
- Might be just a tad small for me
I've only owned this car for a couple weeks but I'm impresssed. Let's not forget we're talking about a small, 4 cylinder economy car. I drive 125 miles a day round trip to work. I'm 6'2" and 240 lbs and the only gripe I have is that this car lacks about 1/2" from allowing me to fully stretch out my left leg when driving. Now, for $17,000 and 35 mpg @75 mph I think that that's a pretty minor gripe. This makes the 3rd Focus in the family and they have all been great cars. I love it. With the 5 speed, I don't see how you can complain about the get-up-and-go. If you want more, go spend $30,000 on a WRX or Evo. If you want good economy and a fun car to drive, give this little sleeper a look....read morehide

- fuel economy, better ride then a pt crusier
- none at this time
I went from a 06 Pt Crusier that was totaled in a accident. I went looking for cars. I found myself looking at 07 Ford Focus 5 door SE. The car looks great and rides great. I was very surprised how well the car suspention was. I love the ease of parking and the handeling on the road. I have only had the car for a week so now sure what the gas milage is but i am sure its better then a Pt Crusier that i was getting only 21.5 to 22 mpg mix driving....read morehide

- Nice handling
- noisy on acceleration
I bought the 2007 SE 5 door when I learned that Ford plans to discontinue the hatchbacks (and has already dropped the wagon). It is a very responsive car and fun to drive. The hatch and folding back seats make it versitile. I was worried about the gas milagage when I first got it in 1/07, but I now get 27 MPG mixed at 1800 miles with an AT. I got more features than I might have ordered (power windows, auto locks, cruise control, etc), but now I am spoiled and may never go back to a MT with crank windows (if any co. still makes such a beast). I'd buy this car again!...read morehide

- Sport group, rear wiper, seat fabric, versatility
- Tachometer jumps a little
This is my second car and second Focus! My first Focus wasn't the best but it was a 2000 and I had wrecked the engine so once I got it back from Service King, it didn't drive as well. I got a 2007 Infra Red Focus on St. Patrick's Day and have already put 1100 miles on it! It was either another Focus or a Kia Spectra-- which I didn't want at all!
I decided since I was getting another Focus, I might as well get a totally different one (my '00 was a beige four door sedan). I love the bright red exterior and black interior but now I have to vacuum my carpet twice as much :)! I love the rear wiper and I got a really good deal for it: the sticker was $18,500 (Sport group-including leather wrapped steering wheel, fog lights and tachometer; Automatic Tranny; Six disc cd player and radio controls) and we got it for $14,700 with TTL. The gas mileage is a little bit better than my old one (I was used to getting 20 miles to the gallon!) but at the same time it's a bigger tank so it's not that much of an improvement right now because I'm still breaking it in so hopefully it will get better! We bought my Focus from Mike Brown Ford/Daimler-Chrylser in Granbury, Texas, off of 377! The dealing and wheeling went smoothly and it ended up taking a few hours but those few hours were full of me stretching my mouth out :)!...read morehide

- very comfortable, good handling, nice to look at, good air conditioning
- metal instead of rubber bumpers on mine= it already got scraped
I have the SES hatchback 2007 model
I have always liked the Focus and did a lot of research before my old Ford Aspire started to die. I know I could have gotten a Kia Rio for less and with a better warranty or a Hyudai Elantra but the Elantra did not handle nearly as well and I had lower back pain when I got out of it. Almost got a Hyundai V6 2006 Tuscon which I highly recommend but it was just out of my price range.
By contrast, the Focus is soooooo comfortable. Good gas mileage and some nice perks that I am not used to like a little lock that you remove and no one can start your car. Much cheaper than lojack!
It is fun to drive with lots of power. I am just a Focus fan and the dealership was great and easy to work with....I might have paid a little too much but am very happy with what I got. The warranty is not as good on the 2007 as the 2006 but this car is solid, good looking in a sort of a lime green metallic color.
My experience at the dealer was so nice and relaxing that if possible, I will buy my next car there. It was Ford West on Artesia Ave in Bellflower, CA. I highly recommend that you go through the Triple A buying service for a no hassle buying experience. It was the best.
Only con: I just bought it tonight and someone already scraped it by backing into me! Thank Goodness I got the extra insurance....read morehide
