Maintain cruise control as much as possible to maximize the ECO feature to get best performance. My personal best are 52.9mpg on a tank of fuel well above the stated 47mpg city or highway (DC beltway driving) - best single trip efficiency of over 10 miles but less than 50 miles I was able to get 58.9mpg, adaptive cruise is awesome worth the cost, collision avoidance works (missed a deer and a idiot driver that pulled out directly in front of me without warning as the car pre-charged and braked even before I could react (will admit the flashing read light is spooky when it comes on but other sensors where already beeping faster by that point as well, this is a hybrid don't expect it to move as fast, on a 70mph road you should keep it at 62 max speed to gain the efficiency of the electrical system. Slow down enjoy life of owning a hybrid vehicle. It will pay you dividends in the wallet/purse. Great car on long road trip - very comfortable seats with plenty of leg/head room for everyone in the vehicle my dad who is 76 said it was the most comfortable ride he ever had.
