- Great ride, excellent options, really felt like heaven driving
Purchased As New
I bought this car brand new. I had gone from an Explorer to an Expedtion and didn't want another SUV. I bought this car instead. I test drove everything from a Chevy to a Honda, but I feel in love with the Fusion. Sadly, 3 months later I was in an accident and totaled the car. I walked away with only 2 bruises. The car insurance company told me they should have totaled the car twice due to the damage from the accident, (front impact I will say)!!! This car did what it should do and saved my life!! I have a daughter turning 16 next year and I wouldn't hesitate to purcase one for her....read morehide

I've only owned this car for two months but I love it so much. it's awesome. My boyfriend gets in and is like oh my god this is so nice! so far there isnt too much i dont like about it.. the only thing i'd say is that if it didnt come standard with the ambient lighting i probably wouldnt have added it. it's nice but it stays on all the time it'd be nice if they came on when the head lights are on or something like that. but other then that i LOVE this car!!!!!...read morehide

- Comfortable, reliable, good looking, luxury features at a bargain price.
- Trunk isn't easy to open when your hands are full, and if the car is dirty, your hands will be, too.

I love this car. Except for the turning radius, it's comparable to my wife's Mercedes E-320, at half the price. This is the only new car I have ever owned that didn't need to go back to the dealer for anything during the first year.

- the AWD is kinda scary on icy roads.
Purchased As New
overall I love this car! The AWD didn't perform like I thought it would on icy raods! Very good on snow covered roads, handles very well in normal driving conditions, handles 100 times better than the front WD, the interior is very roomy and I love all the airbag safety. 4 1/2 stars out of five. This car has every feature one could ask for!...read morehide

- Good in gas, drives smooth in highways, buckek seats are great, traction and stability controls.
- I will say N/A
I got 2009 Sel AWD with heated leather interior and who ever saw it had given me complements. I did almost 2500 miles in this car the longest was stright shot of almost 1200 miles and car performend very well i did not had any back pain which i use to have with my other cars. It drives smooth and feel as if you have full control of your car.

- Sync, AWD, excellent ride, great handling, great brakes,
- None, no Hybrid available.
Went from an '05 Saab 0-3 Aero to a Fusion. No regrests whatsoever. Would be nice if they added auto "up" on the windows, and an integrated garage door opener. Also, the controls on the GPS need some tweaking to make more intuitive.
Test drove the Camry and Accord and this car beats them hands down....read morehide

- domestic AWD sedan with great 'feel'
- very pleased with this new car
my wife and i just got our 2009 Fusion SEL AWD sedan at the local dealership. we are very pleased. her other car now traded in, was a good ride; a Pontiac G6.
she was worried about changing both make and model but this cars features and feel are superb. we have had many compliments about it.
the SEL package offered most every option one could want in a car of this class, ( although i DO wish they had a locking gas cap ).
6 speed auto - she isn't a fan of a manual trans in traffic
udpated traction control - plus excellent brakes
6 Disc CD and Sirius sat radio - she LOVES her sat stations.
cellphone Sync - and she thought she wouldn't use it...(hahaha)...
upgraded stereo with wonderful tone and sound
wrapped steering wheel with on wheel controls
nice 17in wheels
fog lights / ambient lighting which is very elegant!
auto climate control
the moon roof.
and in her color Redfire metallic!
we got the fabric seats, instead of leather and they are more comfortable than we expected. she was interested in the 2 tone seat color combos, but Ford has decided to only market them in the FWD versions which is a mistake if you ask her.
our car is the 3.0 L V6 and has enough power for any reasonable ituation in city or town driving. i think the transmission could have offered a manual mode shifter for a bit more control, but she isn't that fixated on the gearbox when in her daily commute. the trans does push to be in the highest gear as quickly as possible for optimal fuel economy, which is detected when accelerating, but your foot gets attuned to how to manage this.
we looked at every domestic and import AWD car while shopping for this car, and we did look at a few SUVs at the same time. this car competes with them and at a very reasonable price point.
this design was said to be all digitally designed and i think it shows as a complete car package. the vehicle works together so smoothly. the doors close with a simply amazing sound and feel. storage truck space is more than in the G6.
two suggestions for the factory;
we both wonder if Ford can design a special storage space in these console type cars for a womans purse ...and ...i might make the cup holders a bit deeper to hold that vente latte.
we had thought about an SUV type vehicle, but this cars ride and feel are compelling and it is the AWD option which we felt was necessary. i do plan to install Bridgestone snow and ice tires before winter comes and expect this car to AWD through most any situation Mother Nature throws at us.
congratulations to the factory. they are doing a great job....read morehide
