- Hybrid dies for no reason on the highway - Stop Safely Hazard Warning
Purchased As New
I purchased the Hybrid in September 2012, loved the color, sound system, all of the features. I now have 1,400 miles on the vehicle. I loved the Hybrid so much that I paid to have the Grey Knight Ziebarted for years of pleasure. Now, I can't drive the Grey Knight for more than twenty miles, without the Knight dying in the middle of the highway. Four time now the big Yellow warning statement pops up on the dashboard menu - STOP SAFELY HAZARD WARNING - according to the handbook that" indicates the Hybrid component has a fault/failure that will cause the vehicle to shutdown", no kidding try moving into the shoulder with interstate traffic without any power or steering. Then the Grey Knight refused to start, after I waited five minutes! I had a full tank of gas, and the battery charge was almost full. I have returned the vehicle to the dealership many times, nothing, contacted Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center - nothing. As a shareholder of Ford Motor Company I am disgusted with the Dealership in Greenwood, Indiana, Ford Motor Company, that I just filled out the Lemon Law Claim, sold my stock, and I am allowing my attorney to handle the matter. My old 2005 Taurus is still moving, drives nice, but Ford Motor Company you should be ashamed of your lack of service to a loyal customer!! Go online and you will find that this is a common problem, that Ford has not solve. Oh, I file a complaint with the NHTSS. Thank God for free towing, three year warranty, as my Grey Knight will have less than 2,000 after I pass away from a heart attack dealing with the Dealership.
