- Looks and sounds awesome, stereo rocks
- Difficult to get in and out
Just got the new GT premium convertible and it is a really cool car. This is our fourth mustang and it is by far the best performer. (The others were a 98 coupe and a pair of '69 Mach 1's ). This car blows off the line with a beautiful roar. It rounds corners with stability that we didn't have in the others and it drives straight as an arrow on straightaways. The Shaker sound system is awesome. We've had no problems with the convertible top and the ride with the top on is much quieter than we expected from a convertible. My only issues with this car are comfort related. For some reason, it is more difficult to get in and out of this car than the others. The seats are very heavy and are somewhat reluctant to flip forward. (We have a young child so this comes into play pretty much every time we use the car.) Not enough hassle to disuade us from driving it, just something to think about and deal with. Maybe they will loosen up in time. Also, for a driver with a shorter leg reach, it seems like I need to have the seat forward so far to fully engage the clutch that my knees touch the underside of the dash board somewhat uncomfortably. All things being equal though, the overall driving experience is well worth the minor irritations! (I won't even go into the gas milage...that's the price you pay for 300 hp.) We find this car to be an absolute pleasure and we feel fortunate to own one.
