2005 Ford Mustang User Reviews

- Great acceleration and very good braking, very smooth ride
- No heated side mirrors (great for Canadian winters)
I have my test drive of a performance white M2005 Mustang V6 in mid November. When we left the dealership the driver in the next vehicle kept staring at the Mustang to the point that I felt he was either going to hit the Mustang or the nearby television station.
Acceration from a stop is very good. This vehicle runs so smooth you hardly realize that it is moving at the speed indicated on the speedometer. On an off ramp onto a main highway the speed is 80kph I found myself doing 135 kph and I was barely on the accelerator and the grade to the highway was mininal. Once back in the city I found it hard to kept the car at the speed limit without constantly touching the brake to kept the speed down. This mustang is born to run, and this is only a 210 V6! Who needs a 310 horsepower V8 unless you have money to burn?...read morehide

- Great everything!
- Which I can afford 2!
Great looking car with awesome sound. Nostalgic but modernized. The seats make you feel like a top end car. Quick pickup for a V6. This car is a babe magnet and I get looks from middle-aged people only wishing they would have bought one instead of an overpriced Euro car. Ford knows how to market and to throw in a quality car of the past, you have got a winner. Plan to keep this for awhile. 10 years from now I expect full resale value. Try that with a Beemer or Merc. $50,000 with trade of $30,000, You can buy one of these pups with the loss. Ciao!...read morehide

- Great car for the money, sure it doent have some of the amenitys, but I didnt buy it for that.
- The seat belts are alittle tuff to get to, wish heated seats where a option.
Yes you can lean against it if you want but most car lovers wouldnt, you wont dent it, god I hope not, wear anything you want in it the leather is real nice, cloth is ok too,and it wont break. Its not a import. step on it, "ya ok" just bought a new car and I am going to step on it, And again... you get a great car for the money. A high performance car for such little money,,Awsome. Watch the great resale of this vehicle. You dont have to spend 10k-20k and get less quality for your money. Do the math, great car, less money, makes sense. Americans car makers build a quality cars. This is in response , well you will figure it out....read morehide

- Excellent performance, amazing handling, attractive lines
I am responding to a very hostile review from Martin in San Diego. I can't understand how you would come to the conclusion that the new Mustang will have poor resale value compared to a vehicle that is 10k-20k more. The Mustang was designed not only 100% in a computer but the base of the V6 coupe and the GT were designed with the "customizer" in mind. Leaving not only room under the hood for but for modifications within the transmission too. Currently the resale value of a Mustang is equal to the MSRP if not slightly greater. However, take a corvette (which is 10k-20k more) the resale value of this vehicle has decreased over the years due to the greater avalibility. Keep in mind that a vehicle regardless of make or model is going to decrease, that is the unfortunate reality of automobiles, but to consider a classic vehicle "junk", is a bold statement. Moreover, the new Mustang is less expensive due to less "man hours" used in the mock up and less expensive but more durable metals to make the vehicle a superior buy, not only for the money but for the stylings of a true classic muscle car....read morehide

- Style, amenities/comfort, power.
- Hard plastic surfaces could use refinement, greedy dealerships
This car is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Great style meets fantastic performance. Lots of nay sayers who have not driven this car will complain about the live axle but I can tell you comming from a double wishbone independant rear suspension car, you would never know unless you looked under the car. It launches like no other V8 powered sport car I've ever driven. Tires chirp briefly then dig into the pavement to thrust your bottom deeply into the nicely designed leather seats, thrusting you to post highway speeds instantaniously and without any drama. I had to settle for the 5 speed auto, but the more I drive it, the more I like it. Responsive sharp up shifts that give you a smooth constant forward thrust until you let up on the throttle. No lag between gears at all.
My only complaint other than my dealership headaches, is the hard plastic parts and the plastic shift lever. They could use some refinement. As far as American cars go, this is a very nice interior but I would highly suggest the interior upgrade package.
the 500 watt shaker system is far more stereo than anyone needs. The 6 cd in dash mp3 capable sounds really great. I'm no audiophile so I'm sure it will not meet some peoples needs but as far as I'm concerned it is really very nice with great sound.
The leather seats are top notch, power everything and a very solid overall feel.
Pannel gaps are straight and tight.
The dual exhaust is probably the best I have ever heard stock.
Supprisingly nice oem tires! They are all season ofcourse but the perelli p-zeros are pretty highly rated and grip very well.
The ride is maybe stiff compared to a family sedan but feels just about right for a sports car thats meant to be a daily driver. Over uneven pavement the ride remains comfortable.
The back seats will be useless for adults except for short trips. My drivers seat in my most comfortable position is right up against the back seat. Not a problem for me, but people wanting to tote the kids or friends around might want to look elsewhere.
If your looking for a beatiful car to have fun in and also drive to work every day, look no further your Mustang is here....read morehide
