- Beautiful shape, distinctive sounding engine (LOUD!), way fun to drive
- Interior a little less polished than it should be, not fuel efficient
With respect to PRICE:
It IS possible to buy this car in the DC metro at a price in between invoice and MSRP. I did! We have 20+ Ford dealers here, and if the dealer you are working with has a mustang on the lot, then obviously the demand is not so high that there are none to be had for a reasonable price... and if they aren't being reasonable, go to one of the other 19 dealers! Bottom line, you don't have to buy into the "regional market adjustment".
Overall, this is a great car! For the first month, I had permi-grin and roared around under the impression that all other non-2005 mustang drivers wanted to be me (as evidenced by smiles and stares). It growls, has a beautiful design, and is a lot of fun to drive. Also, come on... CONVERTIBLE! Though you shouldn't expect to outrace bigger performance cars in the V-6 premium, the engine still has good pick up and enables you to go fast enough to zip in and out of traffice. The 5-speed shifts well and the clutch is not so stiff that it hurts your foot while you're sitting bumper to bumper. The front seats are pretty comfortable (who knows or cares about the back - you're the driver!)
