- Fun car, comfort (I am 6'5" & 285), cost
- nothing major - but some things to think about=Dash/interior material & small back seat
I bought a base model as a toy for my wife for the summer so I could justify buying myself a Shelby GT500 in a few months to her. I have driven this car more than her now even though I kept my Jeeps and Harley this thing is a fun car even with the smaller engine which has a good bit of go to it. It will cruise at 80-85 mph smooth and only at 2500 RPM on the highway, handles nice, and the convertible is my first but not my last. My 2 year old son fits in his car seat in the back on my wif's side but nothing could fit behind me. The backseat is small so don't buy this car as a family truckster, but 1 kid can fit back there, even an adult can but not 2 unless the people in the front are less than 5'5" tall and push the seats way up. The plastic interior and basic dash are a draw back to some, but I have no problem with that to keep the base price down. I bough used with 14K miles on it and it looks and runs like new. My first car ever was a mustang (71 Mach 1) and I am pleased to see they are bcak on track again.
After seeing how much I like this car I wish I would have bought the higher end GT version but then I would not have been able to justify the Shelby so if I manage to get my hands on one of those I did the right thing. This is a very fun, good looking, good driving, great value car for what you get.
