2008 Ford Mustang User Reviews
GT Deluxe Coupe shown
- $10,675 - $16,190
- Very nice interior. Enough room for 6'2" adult. Nice overall exterior/interior package.
- Very small back seats. No manual trunk release from drivers cockpit area.
I was skeptical of this car when it first came out. Though a nice looking car, it came to production with several Technical Service Bulletins for the 2005 model. The 2007 has returned with only four TSBs. Two are for airbag light and ABS light not turning off, but no fault of the components. The other two are more serious, but only one affected me. The two offensive TBSs are rear shock absorber problem and automatic transmission control module issue. As I have a 5-speed, the auto trans issue does not concern me.
Please don't mistake my comments for not enjoying this car. I truly am impressed with the way the vehicle is put together, the look, the sound, and the layout! I've only had it for a week, so I'll write a long term usage review later on; closer to 6 months or a year.
Overall, the Mustang is put together quite nicely. The first year production jitters were over in 2005 and this car is solid. I did not expect to be as impressed as I was with the Mustang, nor did I expect it to be as nice a vehicle as it is.
The colors I chose for my car are as follows:
exterior- metallic alloy
motor type- V-6: 4.0 liter rated @ 210 hp
Transmission: 5-speed stick shift
Options: side airbags, 6 way power drivers seat, spoiler
Total cost of vehicle excluding warranties, DMV, etc.: $17,843.72
Additional costs: $1,800 bumper to bumper warranty that increases bumper to bumper to a total of 6 years. Total cost out the door: $19.643.72...read morehide

- Incredible quality, decent gas milage, awesome interior and sound, real head turner
- Vibration in shifter, back seats too small
Ive owned a 5.0 for 7 years and have spent a great amount of money on suspension, brakes, and performance. This car, replicates every aspect while remaining stock. This is the first generation of mustangs to step up from being a cheap affordable sports car, to an all around world competitor in performance and quality. Nothing in its price range can match it, and I test drove a lot of cars before I picked this one. If you are planning to get one, go all the way with the GT. The V6 will always be a V6 even with the pony package it doesn't come close to the appearance and performance of the true term "mustang"...read morehide

- awesomely sporty and comfortable
- no cons
This is without a doubt the most fun car to drive and be seen in. Ihave it in torch red and it attracts a lot of attention. The driving is smoothe and sensitive. The seats (leather) are as comfortable as in my Lincoln. In the past I have had a number of Mercedes convertibles, and none of t hem were as comfortable as my '07 Mustang. THE STYLING IS "RETRO", and I even have the metal retro dash with a mind boggling stereo system. This car is a premium edition and loaded to the max for under $25K. How can you beat that? I have only regained my mustang Fetish since Ford brought back that original loook of the '65 and '66's. It handles like a true sports car costing 3 times what the Mustang costs, and this car is JUST PLAIN GORGEOUS to look at, even better to drive. You'll do yourself a favor to test drive a new 'Stang, they ROCK. I am 53 years old and this car fits me to a 'T'....read morehide
