the only thing lacking is the louvers in the back corner windows like the 67 had. they'd have to be aluminum like the originals had. these gave the car a lot of charactor. i'll never forget them. for the pric the car should have them.

I was looking HARD at the Boss, with only plans on upgrading the suspension and gettting lighter wheels for track use. Problem was Ford dealers being who they are, if anything seems remotely popular, they'll mark up the price ridiculously. Since the 'track key' hasn't been okay'd by CARB(yet?), I decided to simply buy the base coupe with Brembo's, and spend the $18k I saved on suspension, wheels, and other track bits. So far this thing hasn't been passed on the track, and has itself passed a P-GT3, a Ford GT(40), Lotus Elise, countless Evo's and S2000's, and one particular M3 owner, who got his highlighted hair-do miffed when I not only passed him, but then left him in the weeds.
Having purposely NOT owned Fords for the last 17 years, they've finally made a vehicle worthy of serious consideration....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Cons
- Thirsty, no spare tire w/ brembo brake package

Go with the 6 speed manual, this V8 revs high (7500 rpm redline). Will smoke SS camaros and challengers. Sounds great with the right exhaust set up. Don't count on fitting normal sized people in the back...but that's not why you buy this car. Front seats have plenty of leg room though. Adequate trunk space. Best mustang yet...great job by the engineers at Ford. The 4.6L lacked the power to hang with the camaros and trans ams in the past, but this new 5.0 rocks. The suspension is great for a live rear axle vehicle....read morehide

Love this car, Ford knocked it out of the Park on this Mustang! I added the remote starter, if you live in the warm parts, you won't understand how awesome having this is, I highly recomend it.

the new 2011 mustang GT is definitely a mussel car with aggressive front end and a formative hood...the repetition shaped fenders on all four corners communicate a masculine stead ready to chew up the highway and blow the remnants out the exhaust system...the engine is huge and could power an aircraft carrier...this is one cool automobile however, if you plan to purchase a mustang GT be sure to:
#1. test drive the car before the negotiations start...
#2. plan on at least a minimum of three trips to the dealership...
#3. be sure to test drive this car, yes, i know this is a repeat of #1.
this is a mussel car and not a touring luxury ride for the interstate...
the cheep PLASTIC dominates the interior of the mustang GT not like the high end PLASTIC interior of the mercedes-benz or lincoln automobiles...
at 75 years of age my back could not take the beating of the ride and when driving the GT i had the feeling the back wheels were going to bounce off the pavement at any speed and leave the road...but i need to remember this is a mussel car...i can't imagine driving this car on an eleven hour trip...
one last item:
why are managers at many dealerships of any company so OBNOXIOUS? surely the automobile industry can train these individuals to communicate a fair price of the car on the first visit...the negotiation process is antiquated from the days of horse trading...the first visit is a charade...don't you just love it when the manager states, "how can i get you into this car?
da..".open the door and let me in, la, la, la" they can stop being so trite and stop the micky mouse games too...
good luck and if you purchase a mustang GT enjoy it for what it is or park it in the garage and admire it......read morehide1 out of 14 people found this review helpful.

Purchased the new 2011 5.0 in August and it has not disappointed since! Interior is very nice and the seats are EXTREMELY comfortable.
Performance is where it truly deserves 5 stars, 412 HP with 390 lb ft,
0-60 in 4.4s!! Performance wise it is exactly the same as a BMW M3.
Half the Price for same performance, Ford is really giving foreign cars some trouble on the streets!...read morehide16 out of 16 people found this review helpful.

This is my first new car and I love. I always believe in buying a new car was pointless, but when I drive my Mustang everything goes out the window. I love this vehicle. It has lots of power, but the handling does not match the power of this car. Once Eibach releases the suspension kit I'll make the upgrade. The rest of the car is flawless. Thank you Ford....read morehide
