This is probably the best of the three American muscle cars. I've owned a Camaro, and it's very difficult to see out of, and it's a bit too big. I drove a Challenger, and it felt WAY too big. This car moves very quickly, handles decently and returns acceptable gas mileage.

The huge issue I have with this car is it just isn't safe - at all. On some of these cars, the stability control will engage itself at random times, usually around 50MPH. When the stability control comes on, the car loses throttle response, and the car pulses the brakes. The car bucks, jerks from side to side, and becomes difficult to stop due to the ABS controlling the car. There have been several dozen incidents of this same issue discussed on different Ford Mustang forums (search for advancetrac incident caught on flight data recorder, or advancetrac incident). We used to have a 2009 Mustang GT/CS and thought it was the best. Then Ford improved it with the '10 model and has made positive improvements every since. My wife was a Corvette finatic until she got her '12 Mustang GT Premium in black on black with leather and all the goodies. The car already had 412 HP from the factory and with very minor tweeks it is currently at 450 HP. Gets great gas mileage and has all the power, performance and comfort anyone could ask for. I've had a 98', 06' GT and I love this 2012 Mustang GT the most. They have definitely improve the car in every way. It handles like it is on a rail, power is more than most can handle, the 6 speed is smooth, and the interior is vastly improved in material and interior noise. I own the Brembo brake package is slightly different in the suspension and brakes. The brakes are what you would expect from Brembo and it stops with out question....read morehide

Love it :) burns rubber when smoke button engaged, hangs tight on the twistys when disengaged.
The black Ext. Trim, don't like, I'm going to paint them to match car color, they already got that message at the factory, the 13's are painted to match.
Real eye turner. I put the Roush racing mufflers on it $450.00, worth every penny, sound awsome. Keep my foot out of the gas pedal (very hard to do, lol) and it gets 26mpg at 65 mph....read morehide

I like both Mustangs and Camaros. Dodge is still junk though.
Unfortunately, Ford has taken a step backwards with this generation of V8 Mustangs. The new Mustang is fast but not as fast as it should be. The 2012 Mustang will not out run a 2012 Camaro unless you put on some after market parts and get it tuned. Also, the suspension is spongy so it takes corners like a regular car. This car also has a problem with hooking up to the road due to the small tires and the ineffective stability control. One more problem I see with this car is that the transimission is made in China with chinese parts. I have seen a lot of reviews from people where the transmission has come apart on them. The best thing about this car is the lack of blind spots. Hopefully, Ford will fix some of these problems and the 2013 will be better. The new Shelby is awesome though....read morehide
