upgraded to this from my 96 taurus. bought this car from my teacher in december with 97k on it now here in march i just rolled over 100k. i love this car, i love tauruses period. they are good reliable cars. if something does go bad on it its easy to replace.

in 3k miles ive done brakes and rotors, syn blend oil cahnge, changed the coolent, 1 inner tie-rod, belt, dropped the tranny pan and changed the filter and 6 new quarts of fluid. and a few miles under 100k i had to replace the fuel pump ( easy to do, pump was $182 tho ) just regular stuff with mileage. going to do struts on it when it warms up.

i have no complaints about the car. well there's one thing i dont like and thats the transmission ( but thats me ). my car has the ax4s ( AXOD on the trans pan ) transmission and its a good one but the shift points are a little weird. my 96 taurus had the AX4N tranny and it was a lot stronger. so if your looking for a car like this try to get the AX4N if u can.

other than that i love this car. i wanted a taurus with the 2000 plus model year but all the mileage was to high. i paid $2150 with a new windshield for my car....read morehide
