2009 Ford Taurus

- Engine power, highway mileage, interior room, trunk space, features
- Bland styling, no bodyside molding protection, engine noise, heated seats optional with leather
Just picked up my 09 black Taurus with leather interior and Sync. This car has the room I need, unlike many of todays downsized sedans with a real big trunk. The interior is roomy and fairly comfortable and the new V6 gives strong passing power and gets good highway mileage. The Sync is a must have if you like hands free phone use and listen to music. Ride and handling are good but sometimes this car does feel a bit top heavy at higher speeds. In several weeks of ownership a few annoyances have surfaced. The V6 when pushed is a bit loud and sometimes the transmission seems hesitant. I like the leather seats but why doesn't Ford include heaters like Chevy does on the Impala with leather? The exterior styling is not my favorite as it looks tall and ungainly. A bodyside molding option would help in this regard and shame on Ford for not offering one as an option. You have to go to aftermarket for this! Bland styling aside, this car does what I need it to do and will hopefully give many trouble free miles.
