Better work truck and better mpg than trundra.

by John from San Francisco, CA (4/18/08)
Pros:Looks great, great work truck, stiff suspension, surprisingly good mpg (15-18), I love it compared
Cons:Not as "comfy" as 02 tundra limited, but it's a great truck and gets better mpg than the tundra

Looks great. . .great work truck, stiff suspension, surprisingly good mpg (15-18), I love it compared my 02 Tundra 4x4, which took a dump at 120,000 miles, and I said to heck with that, and got the F150 4x4 stx. Not as "comfy" as the tundra limited, but much better suspension, and a better work truck, better mpg's, more dependable than the Tundra. I'm an electrician, and carry all kinds of tools, conduit, materials etc.

Good truck for big truck guys

by Greg from Rolling Prairie, IN (3/09/08)
Pros:smooth ride, sits up high, deep cargo bed, interior is roomy
Cons:bulky design, gas mileage not that good

After driving my 1994 Ford Ranger 4x4 for 14 years(240,000 miles) I step up to a F150 and was kinda dissapointed. Reason, the truck is equiped with a 4.6 and auto trans, when driving the trany seems to shift at a high RPM even when the engine is a at optimal operating temperature, the 4.6 in my oinion lacks power for atruck weighing as much as it does. I find it difficult getting in and out of the cab, a step bar would help this out. The windshield slant picks up a lot of glare off the dashboard, which is bothersome, plus all around visibilty is poor on the truck. After 4 months I'm still not comfortable with a big truck, it seems too huge and bulky for a guy who has had smaller trucks. Thinking about going back to the Ranger

Pros:great handeling and a great appeal with the sturdy body
Cons:gas mileage makes this truck more on the pocket

it has the cab so more passengers are able to ride. big size bed and it has the ability for towing with the 4 wheel drive
