Here's a reason to buy Ford

by Cole from Washington, NC (5/16/08)
Pros:My fuel economy is great on my F150 Lariat 4x4 Crew Cab. for a truck.

The styling, the comfort, the handling, the ride, the sound system, the power is all perfect for a pickup. I test drove Chevy's, Dodge's, and the Toyota and the Ford beat them out every time! Best truck by far! The GM products don't even compare in the looks/trim department; the Toyota is very cheap looking, and the Dodge wasn't even close to the other three in any category!

Best Truck Period!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by KING OF THE RANCH from Austin, TX (3/18/08)
Pros:Love the look, and I modified mine, intake, exhaust, 60k not one issue
Cons:GAS, GAS, GAS, E-85 will drop your gas mileage down to 9 miles/gallon

I have a 2006 King Ranch that I haven't had one problem with, I burnt up a light socket putting after market bulbs in, lesson learned, but I love my truck. Sweet, put if gas hits $4 bucks a gallon she might get traded.

Stylish Truck

by J Slack from Cape Coral fl (3/18/08)
Pros:Nice looking truck, pulls boat without issue. Nice ride
Cons:Poor performance, poor fuel mileage

I have 2004 Lariat Super Crew with 50k, have had numerous small issues with truck. Replace back window seal. Bad leak. Tilt steering release fell off. Power door lock switch fell out of door twice(I DONT EVER USE IT) But Ford did give an option to turn off one of the dumbest intovations known to man(the automatic door lock)

Ford F-150-Tough/Reliable/Comfortable

by William from Jacksonville FL (1/17/08)
Pros:Excellent Dependable Truck-At 55k miles still has original tires/brakes!
Cons:Of course Gas Mileage-but that is to be expected for Truck this Size!

I own a 2006 F-150 Super Crew XLT and this truck is AWESOME! I have done nothing to this truck except for oil changes and tire rotations! This truck has 55k miles and still has original Michelin Tires on it with 40% tread left on it, and still has original brakes! This truck is still as solid as the day I purchased it with no noises anywhere! I would buy this truck all over again for the Reliability and Dependabilty and Comfort. I have owned Chevy's-Toyota's-Dodge Trucks, and none of these can compare to the Ford F-150! Buy one you won't be sorry!

Overall, still the best vehicle out there.

by Dom from Pittsburgh, PA (1/12/08)
Pros:Nice handling, plenty of power, better than average fuel hog, beautiful instrumentation
Cons:Low roof, front seat a bit shorter than usual, instrumentation behind shifter not visible at all

I've owned several pickups and various brands in my life time. My last one was a '02 F250 V-10. Spacious all around. I traded it for a Mercury Montego when gas started to skyrocket.

We bought this 07 Lariat for my wife's new business, and also use for camping. I'm 6'-4" with a bit of a back problem. I find it very difficult entering my F-150 cab, especially the passenger side. In addition, I am not sure what Ford was thinking when they designed the odometer/gas settings behind the shifter, making it difficult to find or see these buttons. Seat length at the leg comes a bit short causing some leg discomfort.

I would still choose this vehicle over any ugly Toyota or Nissan. It appears to me these people are just adding weak sheet metal to their trucks give the appearance of a tougher looking truck. Warning, sheet metal tears up.

Great Truck with Style

by Rustin from Kingsville, TX (1/08/08)
Pros:Comfort, Smooth Ride, Quiet interior, Tons of room inside
Cons:Lower MPG than expected

I traded a 2003 F-150 XL Super Cab. It was a stripped down model and the change is very welcome. I traded up to the '08 Super Crew "Texas Edition" and have absolutely fallen in love with it. The interior is like a Town Car and the ride is unbelievable. It took me a while to get used to the difference between this and my '03. The out-board-mounted rear shocks make this truck glide around town. It's tough, but a little too pretty. I took it out to the ranch and the painted surface above the chrome bumper took a beating from the brush and bump gates. I definitely recommend a grill guard.

Ford Tough?

by Clyde B. Laster from Deltona, FL USA, USA, USA (1/08/08)
Pros:Great highway MPG, and First Fully boxed frame, most comfy backseats etc. etc.
Cons:I ran over a hyundai at 40mph. Had to replace bumper, hood and grill. Built Ford Tough.

All I can say is that I got this truck 10K below cost and I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. Now I love it. It's the most comfortable ride I ever owned. And I've had over ten cars in my short life and driven just about everything else. The only car that beats this is of course the Mustang.

Great long-term experience

by Tom from Orange, Texas (12/09/07)
Pros:Excellent Reliability, smooth ride, good handling, good looks
Cons:Gas mileage (not a complaint of the truck), could use a 5 or 6speed trans

I have a 2004 Lariat Supercrew with 50k trouble-free miles. It is a real workhorse, that is great for hauling my boat down a muddy ramp during the day, and hauling people to a black-tie event in the evening after its washed up. I would buy another in a heartbeat, but at present, there is no need for me to do so.
