Purchased As New
I have owned a GMC Sierra my whole life. I bought my first one in high school and then got a newer one when I went to college. After I graduated I bought a brand new 2008 TX edition and it was the best investment I have ever made. I am coming up on my 2nd year of ownership and it has been a near perfect truck. It hauls my boat or any trailer that I hook up to it. It can go off road but not into anything serious that you would need a 4x4 for. My dad had a Ford F-150 and it was a significantly worse truck. I love listening to my music in the truck because the sound system is great! I have been given a ton of complements from a lot of people even guys with opposing trucks like Ford, Nissian, and Toyota. I cant say enough about all the improvements that this truck has had over previous models that make it in a league of it's own....read morehide

- roomy , pleny of engine power 4.8 v8, good quite ride, pulls trailer and boats with ease
- gas milage, and seat covering is cheap will not last
I have owned my gmc serria for about 6 weeks now , Its a fine pick-up with more positives than negatives. Smooth and comfortable ride, quite. Satlelite radio is a must works and sounds great. Plenty of room for driver and passangers an steers with ease. The worst thing about this truck is gas mileage same as it was 20 yrs ago. I get barely 19 on the hwy without using the ac and using the ac i get about 17. in the ciy i get 16 without ac and 14 with. All trucks have failed the american people as far as gas mileage. Its ashame the auto industry couldnt ever increace the gas mileage buy at least 5 miles over these past yrs. Only when they are threathened with going out of business do they make an attempt to increase gas mileage. If the gas mileage was better this would be the best truck or vehicle on the road today....read morehide

- Solid truck, tons of power, handles terrain well, plenty of space in cab and bed, easy on gas
- extras (AC/Power, etc) pricey, 4wd adds a quick 5g to the invoice
I've had this truck for just over a month now and I can't get enough. Plenty of power (5.3 AFM) and it doesn't kill you at the pump (about 18 city). I can tow a boat, move an apartment in one trip, or drive off-road with no worries from the auto-locking rear diff. Inside has everything I thought I wouldn't want, from the 7 cupholders, the two glove boxes, two huge storage bins, or the phone-button thing that lets you call people through the truck radio. I haven't found a single thing I don't love on this truck yet. Hopefully soon I can start adding some things like the remote start package (great in FL for cooling off cab) or the Driver Info Center that gives you all your truck stats. The OnStar and the XM I don't really use much, but whatever. Great truck....read morehide

- Roomy, quiet and comfortable driving, great looking truck.
- Wind noise around windshield causing a popping noise at speeds over 50 mph.
Great truck for looks, features, and ride. I have been a Ford man my whole life both as an owner and as a Certified Ford Mechanic. I drove the equal F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4WD, and there was no comparison. The new GMC is a much more comfortable ride, and has many more features than what is offered on a Ford truck. I have enjoyed the Onstar convenience, the room, and the pure pleasure of just driving it. Sometimes I honestly do not want to get out of it at all. The gas mileage is too bad either, and I've been getting around 21 mpg on interstate. I purchased the loaded SLT 4WD SuperCrew model in the Stealth Gray, or as I call it, gun metal blue. I've had so many compliments on this truck's looks, I honestly think that I have some sort of custom show truck. Hands down, the features offered by GM far out weigh the Ford Truck's offerings of equal type. What else can be said here....read morehide
