- Fuel economy much better
- Should have side impact airbags as standard equipment
trade in my 1999 Silverado Z/71, GMC dealer in Springfield IL. went out of their way to help find a GMC sierra Z/71. 400 mile test drive from nashville tn. to springfield il. showed 2 mpg better fuel economy, much quieter ride[NO WIND NOISE] great truck.

- Fuel economy, appearance, ride
- I would rather the MP3 connection be in the center console than the dash.
I have had my truck for 2 weeks now. I bought an SLT extended cab in stealth gray. Love the color. It actually changes color. Sometimes it looks gray. Sometimes it looks blue. I'm averaging 16.5 MPG and I think it will get better as the truck breaks in. Compared to older GMC trucks I've had (13 MPG), this is much better. The appearance both inside and out is a real head turner. Another thing I really like was the new after market accessories that GM now provides that have the same warrantee as the truck (100,000 miles). Nice. GM decided to get in the after market seeing how profitable it is. My previous vehicle was a Chrysler 300M and the ride of this truck far exceeds the Chrysler. Much better. As for Greg in Cleveland, preferring he had a Silverado. Not me. They must make 10 Silverados for every one GMC. I would rather have the GMC so I don't have the same truck every Tom, Dick and Harry have, even if it is a little more expensive. Besides, I like the grill better on the GMC. My wife has a 2002 Yukon Denali and loves it. We have been GMC owners for over 10 years now and never had a bad one yet....read morehide

- this truck is tight. It has so much room on in side handles and feels like nothing you have ever dr
- the nav radio with the bose system what a wast of money and I mean a wast of $
This is my fourth gmc siarra in the past seven years. Three being 4x4 ext cabs. And my last being a 2006 siarra denali (AWD). And i must say by far this is the best truck general motors has ever drove off the assembly line. I'm 6 foot and 225lbs this truck has so much room on the inside and very comfortable. the feel of the truck and the way it handles are unbelievable. This truck has so much power with the 6.0 I only have about 400 miles on it right now and it is getting about 16 in town and all most 17 on the road. I can tell when the active fule management kicks down it slowly loses speed.other then that I have never driven a car or truck that rides or drives like this 2007 siarra 4x4 SLT ext cab. Like I said if you are thinking of getting one with the nav with the bose system save your money unless you need the nav. as for the stereo and the sound BAD BAD BAD GM are you listening.Other then that you will not find a better truck on the road....read morehide

- fuel economy, new style, beautiful
- none so far.
Great truck. i got one 2 weeks ago, beautiful. I would rather have had a Silverado, but they were all out of stock. I went with the GMC. Just as good, same thing. Beats Ford, Nissan, + Dodge altogether. I completely suggest this truck or Silverado.
