There are 2 user reviews for the Work Truck Long Box trim shown below
- good fuel mileage, good heater controls
- needs more springs
Dinger when leaving door open is ricidulous. Tilt steering at lowest position blocks speedometer.Would like center seat to slide or back to tilt.

- Reasonable price, satisfactory performance, overall value.
- Less than stellar base options and interior is questionably boring.
Generally I am happy to have my first pickup truck be a GMC. I got a good deal on it and can't complain about the overall fit and finish. There are minor nits here and there.
On the upside of things, the V6 engine is reasonably powerful for anything I'll ever do with it. I am happy with the floor finish (some sort of rubber/vinyl concoction) as it makes floor mats unnecessary. One of the neat features that GMC has is an engine hour meter in the Driver Information Center. Having the lowest trim level available, the DIC is relatively plain and doesn't do much--just the basics: odometer, trip odometer, and engine hour meter. So far I have gotten the mileage I'd expect for my driving habits, so no complaints there.
On the downside of things, the V6 engine isn't great if you want to have a little fun with other vehicles on the road. This isn't a race car though. Honestly there isn't much to complain about with this truck. I have had to get the transmission replaced, but I feel the transmission's failure was largely my fault, and they replaced it under warranty. The interior panels do rattle a little bit now and then if the radio volume is high enough. I do wish the work truck came with a center console, that would be useful. Cruise control and power locks/windows would be on my list for my next truck as well; creature comforts one gets used to in most cars since 1990.
The ride is comfortable enough for a pickup truck, and the seats fit me well (I'm a big guy - 360 pounds, 6' 1"). The truck has handled some dangerous situations in the wet and dry without fail....read morehide
