I purchased the Work Truck Regular Cab 4X2 with the 4.8 V8. The styling is classy, and I think it will age well. The interior, though in base WT trim, feels richer and more upscale than Ford or Toyota base models. Fuel economy is naturally crummy, but this fact is not a disappointment. I like the truck, but wish GM would be more diligent in resolving the famous drive line (slip yoke)

- Have a 5.3L with 3.73 rear end, Z71 off road pkg use 10% ethanol and get a solid 18 to 21 mpg
- Static electric shock is normal getting out---it smarts.
Other than the static electricity shock I love this truck. Does everything from pulling farm equipment and haulling heavy loads to lookin good cruising down the interstate on trips. It does it all and does it well. I will buy another when done with this one.
