Purchased As Used
We have our 2007 Acadia for a year. We loved it at first. It has tons of room for our family of 5. The cargo area is a nice size. It does lack in power a little. A few days ago I was driving with two of my kids in the back. The steering wheel seized and I almost crashed. It happened 3 more times before I could pull off. I got it to a friends and pulled over. The engine then died and wouldn't restart for two hours. My husband had to drive it to the dealership and the steering froze off and on for 1 and half miles. I love the way the car is set up, I love the room, but I am scared to drive it. I don't know when the steering will freeze again. It is dangerous. The dealership said it was because it was raining and water got on the power steering belt. I don't agree. I have drove in rain before with no problems. Also the gauges were reading crazy, like it said 60 mph when it wasn't moving.... I will be getting a new car as soon as possible. I like the car, but it is unreliable. I am scared the steering will freeze again and I will crash. GMC has a technical service bulletin out because this has happened to others. They need to do a recall before someone dies.
