- No trim specified for this review
- it has a nice size gps screen
- Horrible gas mileage. No better than 14.5 city and maybe 17 highway
The number 1 proublem is the gas milage. 14.5 around town I dont have a heavy foot. and the GMC service people says this may very with different drivers. the middle row seat do not recline very much, may be 3 inches. which does not help when a child falls asleep,or an adult. the middle seat is not easy to move forward to give the third row room for their feet. I do have a rattle in the dash....read morehide

- smooth ride, great turn radius, luxurious looking
- hard to see out of rear, gas mileage could be better
We bought our GMC in May 08 and initially the gas mileage was very dissapointing, only 18 on hwy. But after putting about 7-8000 miles, the fuel economy jumped to 22 hwy (I do alot of hwy driving) . My major complaint is a rattle in the dash that hasn't been fixed yet and you need to look carefully in the rear, as it can be difficult to see the car behind you. Overall, very satisfied as long as my rattle gets fixed. I love the look and comfort of ride, we upgraded to leather seats which was a great decision....read morehide

- Acceleration, Brakes, Handling, Comfort, features
- Gas Mileage
Great SUV but the MPG is nowhere near what they say. Maybe 17 MPG average. Also a little bit of wind noise coming from the sunroof area. Pretty solid otherwise. TONS OF ROOM!

- good fuel economy - depends on your driving style
After reading the bad review about gas mileage, I have have to respond with my own experience. I have a 2007 GMC Acadia, which I absolutely love. I've had it for about 16 months. When we first bought the Acadia, we were very disappointed in the gas mileage, nowhere near the amount listed on the sticker (Ithink around 19-26). We were getting more like 17-18.
With the huge jump in the price of gas, I decided to try some of the driving tips. IT WORKS! Driving between 55-60 mph, avoid quick starts and stops, shutting the car off and walking in McDonald and the bank (forget the drive-ups) - my gas mileage has increased from 17-18 mpg, to 22-28 mpg!!! On average it's 22-24, I had 28 once which was fantastic. I drive 32 miles each way to work on country roads, driving through two small towns and one stop sign in the country. Not exactly city driving, but not high way either.
I'm saving 4 gallons of gas a week (at $4 a gallon, that's a significant savings per week) and have increased my fuel efficiency by 22%.
GIVE IT A TRY! You might be surprised....read morehide

- Smooth ride, very roomy and looks sharp.
- Horrible gas mileage. No better than 14.5 city and maybe 17 highway.
I love the look and comfort of this car, but the gas mileage is not anything to brag about. I drive a lot with running kids around, etc. It's great and roomy, but horrible on gas. If your looking to save money on fuel, this is not the car for you.

- No transmission problems that others have had.
- Water leak in drivers side floor coming in from around the parking brake area.
Check everything before driving off. Found my rear cargo area controls did not work. Was bringing it back today to have wheels and tires put on and rear controls repaired and it rained last night. Yep. Water in the driver floorboard.

- Great fuel economy, extremely roomy, OnStar very useful
- No Cons
This SUV has great gas mileage. I drove from California to Texas and filled up twice. The ride is smooth and I love the dual moon roofs. One of the best SUV's out on the market right now.

- Smooth Powerful V6 Engine, Lots of room, Appealing look
- Interior material
I have my 2008 Acadia for 6 months, no major complain so far.
Love the way my Acadia drives with 275Hp V6 engine. I love the room, smooth ride and feel like real luxury Crossover but cost only 30K. Please dont hesitate to go for a test drive. I have been getting around 20 mpg but if you slow down you can get better fuel economy.
My last trip to chicago I got around 22 mpg just by driving 65 miles/hour speed instead of going over 70....read morehide

- Lots of room, Parking Assist, Easy to drive!
- Gas mileage, but it is an SUV!!!
This car is perfect! I have had my Acadia for over 2 weeks now and I have not found one thing I dislike about it! I went from a compact car to the Acadia and I was worried about how it would handle. It handles so well and is very easy to manuever! The room is wonderful and the seating is easy to get to (2-2-3 seating). Also, the parking assist is great because the rear view is not great but the assist helps with the blind spots.
The perfect family car...even my husband loves to drive it! The gas mileage could be better but keep in mind that this is an SUV and you have to compromise gas for room and space. I think it is worth it. We have gone through two tanks so far and the mpg was 19.5 the first time and 20.5 the second with highway/city miles combined. I have heard once it is broke in (5k miles), you will get better mpg.
The airbags and Onstar give me an awesome feeling of protection which is very important when you have those precious babies in the car with you! All in all, the best car we have bought thus far!...read morehide
