Purchased As New
Purchased brand new last week after a couple of weeks of searching around and looking at the Traverse very seriously as well as the Saturn Outlook. After noticing a few new Traverse's on the street, I am glad that we went with the Acadia as the looks are much more stylish in my opinion.
Amongst my favorite features is the interior room that includes the sliding middle-row seats, I am almost 6' tall and can comfortably sit in the third row with the second row seat in an equally comfortable position, something that even the Tahoe or Yukon can't claim. We also got one with the rear back up camera which I refused to pay for as an extra option at $600+ but am glad that we have it, it makes for so much ease when backing out of spots especially when you can not see down the parking lane due to a large vehicle next to you. The interior quality is also pretty good for a vehicle in this class as well as the pick up and power that the engine has. Fuel economy is at about 20 MPG with some city driving.
I noticed a clicking noise when I had it started in the garage the other day, the dealer mechanic explained that the noise was the fuel injectors, makes sense just a little bit more noticable than what I would expect. Can't hear this inside the vehicle at all as the interior is very quiet.
An option buying tip, don't pay extra for the advanced remote, another option already installed that I refused to pay for. I have no idea what value it adds however the range that you can start your vehicle is a little bit better. Perhaps if you had to park your vehicle far away from your home or lived in an apartment, it would be beneficial. I don't need a key fob to tell me my tire pressure or how much gas I have in the car, for $250 I can wait to get in the car to do that.
Overall, very happy so far, great car for the money and the room that it offers!
