- Pros
- Great ride and handling, bought the SLE XL for towing 6000lb a 28' travel trailer which it does well
- Cons
- Would like better gas mileage, but it is better than the GMC Suburban which I had before.
I have now 30,000 completely trouble free miles and have used it twice to haul stuck fifth wheel units out of stuck situations. AWD and Four Wheel drive is great.

- Pros
- I love this Car, pretty decent SUV with very good space in the second & 3rd row
- Cons
- Car can have th 5th gear for cruising
I LOVE DRIVING THIS FAMILY SUV, I LIKE THE BULKY DESIGN OF THE BODY. This is the only Midsize SUV that is longer than a full size GMC YUKON, Chev Tahoe, Toyota Sequioa.
Long SUV with very powerful I6 291 Hp, pulls like a V8 engine3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

We have 3 tall sons up to 6feet 8 inches-believe me we need head room. I have driven many different GMC vans starting with the large turtle tops to the savanas-this is so great. It's easy to park has lots of interior space, a wonderful appearance. We bought all the bells and whistles. I drove in a Lexus with my friend who insisted her car was better--well she drove in my envoy and she is going to trade in the Lexus for an Envoy. I believe the GMC cars are superior to all the foriegn cars. It's about time all the foriegn car buyers try out the new and better GMC suv's....read morehide

Very good car for a big family, safe and comfortable. I'm very pleased to have this car, but since 2007 company is not making xl size. Acadia is a other choice, but very expensive.

- Pros
- Get thel luxury of the Yukon at a cheaper price. It does get better milage than my 2003.
- Cons
- A good riding SUV.
Why does the most expensive model have a prop rod to open the hood. Come on now. I didn't realize how much lower the heigjht was compare to a regular 4x4 envoyxl slt.

- Pros
- Roomy, nice ride
- Cons
- Poor low speed acceleration. a car this size should offer a V8 option.
The vehicle I own has a lot of wind noise at speeds over 60 mph. I was told this is a
"charecteristic of the vehicle" and the prioblem could not be corrected. I cannot recommend
this vehicle to anyone, and for this reason I will not ever buy one again.4 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- comfort, options, spaciouseness, handling. I could go on and on....
- Cons
- The only con I have is the second row bench, would be nice as captains chairs.
My husband and I looked for the right vehicle for 3 months, test driving and researching on the internet. there was nothing out there we both could happily agree on untill we came across a GMC dealership, we walked off the lot that day with the Envoy, walking on set for disappointment...again. I have had the Envoy for about a month now and I LOVE it!! It is a very comfortable ride and the handling is good. There is plenty of leg room in all three rows and butt room as well, you dont feel cramped at all (including the third which is hard to come by) Yea I put the second row bench as a con, and it is, but it is also tollerable. I have two of my children sit in the third row with car seats and the passenger side second row seat folds up enough for me to lean in and buckle thier belts, and they can climb in by themselfs without my help (they are 4 and 2 years old). the seats are not hard and stiff like other vehicle I have had and test driven. The radio sound is awesome, and the cargo space behind the third row is decent, bigger then expected from experience.
I am VERY satisfied and have NO regret for buying this vehicle. My husband and I both love it....read morehide3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Lots of Room, climate controls, DVD player is a lifesaver!
- Cons
- MPG
I love my Envoy! I went from a ford tauras to an envoy and I love the difference. The envoy is much smoother than the Tauras. My son is no longer a problem in the vehicle because he can put on the "cordless" earphones and what DVD's.

- Pros
- Great third row, Good trunk room, Nice looking leather seats and wood grain accents
- Cons
- Not great MPG, The tail wags out on the highway
We looked at nearly all of the SUV's out there before we decided on the Envoy XL. We thought it was the best buy for our money, its got the room of a large SUV at the cost of a midsize SUV. The only thing we might have done differently was to get the Denali instead of the SLT!
