This is by far the best vehicle we have ever owned. Its been in our family for almost 4 yrs now and have had no issues until recently. The Active Fuel Mangement system has gone on the blink so the mileage has dropped off significantly (to 18 - 19 hwy from 22 -23) but we haven't had time to put it in the shop to have that addressed yet. For the two of us on normal trips its a magic carpet ride. With stuff in the back its a little cramped since the driver's seat can't go back as far as I'd like with the rear seats laying flat. For riders in the back, it would be nice if they had at least some adjustment on their seating, The performance has exceeded my expectations from day 1. It will lope along all day long but whenever you need that kick in pants acceleration, its there, ready and waiting and that GM small block is talking to you just like the original 327s did. And this while getting low to mid 20 mpg in a truck! Our high on a tank has been 25 mpg at 70 mph highway speeds. My wife has fallen in love with the heated seats since we live up north. I have to admit the heated back of the seat does wonders for my lower back on long drives or if my back is just bothering me that day. We hope to keep "Scarlett" in the family for a long, long time....read morehide

I had a very good experience with my Envoy Denali for the first two years. In the last month I have had multiple computer issues. When the gas tank is full the computer will say its empty and the gas gauge drops to read empty. The air pressure indicator will say the tires need to be filled when they have the correct amount of air. Recently the air bags deployed on the driver & passenger sides of my Envoy will my girlfriend was driving on the highway. She hit the brakes because she couldn't see and stopped with enough force to break the seatbelt. There was no damage to the body of the car. My insurance says the accident was caused by faulty airbag sensors. I have ER bills and the interior is ruined from the airbags tearing the ceiling. Insurance will not cover manufacturing defects so I'm dealing with GMC to resolve. So far, they have been very unresponsive and even tried to talk me out of an investigation! BEWARE!!...read morehide

- Pros
- refined ride,sharp lines,gobs of power,excellent driveability and vision
- Cons
- runs rich, fuel economy is worse than my old 73 montec/w 454ci
i had sticker shock when it came to tire replacement at $376Cdn each plus the extras, and then the gm tech tried to sell me on replacing all four but still having the 17 in. spare further confused me especially with the all wheel or 4 wheel drive options.

- Pros
- Excellent replacement for my Tahoe, better ride, though less room for our dogs.
- Cons
- Only one cup holder ! Driver's power seat doesn't go down low enough, thus reducing headroom .
Sorry to hear my Denali if being discontinued. It is an excellent compromise between large and mid-size SUV. My wife says it rides much more like a "car" than a truck - she never liked the ride of my Tahoes. The hauling area with the back seats flat doesn't allow you to move front seats "back" to a comfortable position." Something I didn't check out before buying the vehicle....read morehide

- Pros
- The outstanding value, numerous options, V8 power and comfort.
- Cons
- No hood light.
Hats off to GM for really getting it right with the Envoy. We decided to give the GMC version of the mid size SUV a look and my wife and I couldn't believe what we found. Our minds were open and we didn't read any reviews but decided to use our own judgement to decide on our purchase. Although we like the Saturn Outlook and the GMC Acadia, we were truly impressed with the Envoy. Thanks to some handsome incentives we moved up to the Denali version and boy are we thrilled. So many options for the money. The comfort level of the Denali is outstanding and the overall build quality is incredible. It is a very solid and well engineered vehicle. The stability trac and ride leveling features make it a pleasure to drive. The V8 provides a smooth take off and impressive power range for passing and towing. The interior layout with the wood panels and leather seating along with the DVD and Nav system will make this vehicle a joy to drive on both short and long trips. If anyone is thinking of buying a solid, well equipped vehicle for an excellent price then the GMC Envoy has to be considered. It's too bad GM is thinking of discontinuing in a few years....read morehide

- Pros
- I appreciate this vehicle. The style, gas milage and horsepower contributes to my peace of mind.
- Cons
- This SUV is really tailored to the comfort of the purchaser. Hint...one cup holder in front.
The 07 Envoy Denali has absolutely been a wonderful 40th birthday gift for myself. I have tested driven several luxury SUVs and have to come to find the Envoy to be a perfect fit for me; my personality and my lifestyle...without the ego or the need to be looked at. I especially appreciate the On Star services and the XM radio. The Yukon Denali is definitely my next purchase....read morehide

Horrible car after 50,000 miles. Too many electrical problems have surfaced and Service told me that this happens all the time with Envoys.

- Pros
- Good back seat room, more than the front
- Cons
- Driver is cramped , the is one outlet for your cell phone and GPS and whatever else you may have, ro
The outlet jack is located between the drives and passengers seat, better have a long cord and you might as well go to Radio Shack to get a splitter, When will GMC ever get this right, the head restraint is so for away from your head at least 12 inches, whip lash will be a problem, seats are very uncomfortable, front console to bulky no leg room at all. 100 miles on it and rattles in back when you hit bumps. Long trips not recommended as you become sore. I already am after 100 miles. If you smoke forget it there is not an ashtray, I was trying to find one so I could use the lighter as a place to plug in cell phone. The fit though is very good as far as they body goes. They should have done a better job with the inside. The rear passengers have more room than the ft passengers. I am glad this is a company vehicle....read morehide
