- SLT model (leather seats) is very comforable, even in rear seats. Great for towing and cargo.
- fuel economy ok (we get 14 around town and up to 19 on the highway.
We bought this vehicle used and have only had one repair (transmission which was covered under the warranty--it would have cost $1200!) It's been a great vehicle for us, but we are considering selling it now because it is getting up there in miles and also, we might downsize. One amazing thing about this van is how much it carries--including 8 passengers. You do need to be careful not to overload, especially if you are towing. We have had 8 passengers, plus our 19 foot boat behind, plus stuff up in the roof rack. However our kids are bigger now and we don't carry that many people now--too dangerous!! The reason we bought this vehicle was simple. We shopped around and found comparable SUVs to be very expensive and not nearly as comfortable. It was easy to choose the Safari! We did add a video system for the kids to watch movies and play games. I highly reccommend this van!
