- Gas Mileage
Purchased As New
Bought my Denali new, has 60k mileage and runs excellent, my neighbor has the same vehicle and has 200k without any problems. Great SUV, just wish it got better gas mileage.

- Navigation and DVD player
- Many problems with the electronics aspects of vehicle
Purchased As New
I bought my Denali new. The heated seats do not always work nor have they from day one. I have to turn of vehicle and restart to reboot the heated seats. Hatch does not have a key entry and have on several occasions had the hatch and window not unlock so I had to pull my work equipment over the third seat. Very frustration. Now although the lights and sounds and doors lock then back hatch and window will not lock. The hatch does not have an interior release either therefore you can not open from the inside in the event the hatch is stuck in lock position. The spare tire will not ingage. At golf course and tire was flat. Tow man could not even get the spare to lower from automated storage location. Navigation would also stick. Although I have taken to dealership they have never been able to fix any of these issues. For the cost these issues should work. These have occured since day one and everytime I take to dealership it will not replicate since issues are intermittent. Frustrating....read morehide

- Comfortable ride, tons of features, good visibility, good value, powerful engine, and looks
- Audio quality, Gas, Rear-Bucket Seats don't recline, goodyear tires, wind noise, no bluetooth
While the many "cons" make this vehicle sound rather bad, I'm also being rather harsh, given how particular I am with vehicles. But I typically find quite a few cons with ANY vehicle I drive. The Denali is just the best overall package of any full-size luxury SUV in this price segment. It looks great, has lots of power (6.0l V8), handles quite well for it's size (AWD), very comfortable (auto-ride, leather seats), and has LOTS of optional features that I can't live without (Sat Nav, touchscreen LCD, rear DVD, sunroof, 20" wheels, etc).
The biggest compliants I have is with the stereo and rear seats. The Bose stereo really *could* sound better. It tends to sound rather flat regardless of changes made to the basic 3-band EQ or DSP's (which does help). Of course my previous vehicle had a $2,500 sound system, so it may not be the best comparision. I still have high expectations in this category since I've heard MUCH better factory stereo's in a Cadillac, Lexus, etc. The GPS Navigation should also be a little more "user friendly" as it is in other luxury vehicles.
The rear-bucket seats compliant is really more of a passenger issue, and since I never sit back there, I'm not too worried about it. But honestly, rear-bucket seats SHOULD recline.
While an MSRP of around $50k may sound steep, it's still several grand cheaper than the very comparable caddy, and IMHO... looks better as well. So until they at least update the front grill on the '07 Denali, this body style is still my favorite. If you're looking for the best value in a loaded full-size luxury SUV, definately put the Denali at the top of your shopping list! And as long as they have the new '07 body style and gas prices stay high, finding a cheap used Denali isn't hard at all....read morehide

- turns on a dime, this car has the tightest turning radius of any SUV I've driven. Great looking.
- Rear Dvd player obscurs back window.
I've owned four SUV's the Denali is superior to all of them. I love the way it handles, I don't know of any car of it's size that can make such tight turns. It's a powerful car not at all sluggish. It's a great looking car with many amenities, On Star, heated seats, seperat climate zones, adjustable lumbar support, great sound system. The car is sturdy and I feel safe. I have no idea about gas mileage and don't pay attention, if I have to worry about the price of gas I should be driving a Huyndai. I have owned a Chevy Blazer which doesn't compare to the Denali and I also drove a Suzuki Grand Vitari ( I felt as if I was in a tin box that could tip over at any time). Safty and comfort are the two main features I look for in a vehicle now and Yukon Denali offers that and so much more...read morehide

- great truck to owen, confortable easy to drive, great on trips, I would buy another
- Price on the high side
Love this truck, I will buy another in two years, I hope they are still around after all the enviromentalists who are in the minority, are ruining it for the rest of us. A very safe car to be in. Love it. Love it.

- Horsepower, Beauty, Reliable, Great Gas Mileage for a V8 6.0L
- Not Much different than the Cadillac Escalade
This is an all wheel drive,V8. This car will not handle like a Mustang or a BMW. This is a """BIG""" car. It takes more time to stop, steering is different than a car. For people who have own or driven large SUV's, they will appreciate the Denali XL. The Gas mileage is great for a car of this size. If you want great gas mileage, get a sedan. It handles great and the towing capacity is superb. If you want a big comfortable car, this is your car. If you want great gas mileage, this is not your car. ( Any V8 for that mater )...read morehide

- Great ride, the cadillac of GMC
- You pay more at the pump!
I traded in a 2005 Chrysler 300c and 2005 Dodge Magnum. They were both nice cars but the Denali is classier and can go anywhere. I can now do more with one vehicle then I could with two before. The 2006 is better looking then the new 2007 coming out soon. It gets about the same mileage as my hemi did in town, but not as good on the highway. Over all it is a great mixture of power and style!...read morehide

- smooth ride (feels like you're floating); all the luxuries come standard
- middle seats are uncomfortable because they sit straight up and don't recline even slightly
The Denali is the best car I have ever owned. I am getting ready to trade mine in on the new body style in the 2007 edition. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who's looking at them or similar types of vehicles. It is a great SUV!

- Quiet and very comfortible. Great eye appeal, both inside and out.
- Interior plastic dash trim cheapens interior appearance.
Have owned Chevrolet Tahoe Lt and Z71's in the past. Decided to downsize, purchased Jeep Commander. Nice vehicle, but miss the room and comfort of Tahoe. Drove 07 Tahoe. Lots of nice toys, and attractive exterior appearance. However; ride was noisy, and interior, especially the leather seating, didn't appeal at all. Drove 06 Denali, and knew right away I found what I had been looking for. Not broken in yet, but still getting equivalent gas mileage as my 04 Tahoe Z71.
From pictures I had seen of 07 Denali, the 06 Denali is more attractive. Grill of 07 Denali gives it the appearance of 06 Envoy.
Would recommend GM products to anyone....read morehide
