2006 Honda Accord Coupe
There are 3 user reviews for the EX V-6 5-Spd AT w/ Nav/ XM Radio trim shown below
- Nav, v6, comfy seats
- Honda rattling, transmission, tire noise
I bought this car in 2004 and at first loved it.
GOOD POINTS: The navi ia awesome, the V6 engine is nice and powerful and gets great MPG's. I don't agree with the person saying it gives back pain. I love the drivers seat, very VERY confortable. I used to own a 2000 Accord 4 door and it killed my back, not this car.
BAD POINTS: Yes the car rattles, I turn up the radio so I dont have to hear it.
I am now having transmission troubles, 2nd gear has been slipping but the dealer couldnt find a problem. Im waiting for the tranny to go kapput anytime. The car has severe tire noise so beware of the stock tires. The wheels get very dirty and are hard to clen, plus they damage easily.
I think this is a good car if you can put up with the troubles you will have. I dont think i would buy another Accord though. Look at a barely used Audi....read morehide

- no torque
This engine is not the work of an engineer -- this is an accident:
max. torque of 211ft-pd available at 5000 RPM -- means less at 2000RPM.
Why at such a high RPM? I mean this needs some work to get this so late.
Normal would 3500RPM -- with a turbo even less at under 2000RPM.
The 2.0l Turbo Engine from VW and Audi is an engineered engine.
Max. torque of 207ftp-pd available between 1800...5000RPM.
So when considering available power for every day driving (at 1500..4000RPM) this 200HP engine from Audi/VW is more powerful than this 244HP engine from Honda.
(Can't say for sure, since Honda is not publishing the torque curve -- but it is safe to assume that there is less than 207ft-pd at 2000RPM).
For a car with gears in contrary to a car with a continuous transmission you need torque over a wide band of RPM.
When are you driving at RPMs at which the max. power is available -- very rarely.

- Powerful, Smooth transmission. Low sound noise
- Brakes need improvement. Rides slightly rough
Navigation isn't necessary. Recommend buying a 500 dollar one from a retail store. Overall car is worth its value.
